That's what it looks like, yes. Why? Did they still use the pre-recorded one at your taping?

Yeah, the audience did not do any kind of chant during my tapings.
I also can't get the video to load.

For those who are having problems with the above link, try this and look for the video in the gallery on the bottom titled "Behind the Wheel: A One on One with Vanna White" (currently, it's last one on page 1): www.ktul.com/video

More tape dates have been made available. October 4-5 and October 17-18. The latter two are Wednesday and Thursday.

You know, just looking forward to Monday, we saw some interesting clips already. No new puzzle board font, but a new Jackpot display design among other changes we've seen. But you know, I've been having thoughts about 2012 being the year of the Wheel of Fortune, and here's why. We've got $650 making a return as a playable value (along with $700 of course), we've got new info about the pilots from 1973 and 1974 (including the layouts), and we even got the entire 1973 Shopper's Bazaar pilot. With all this good stuff going on with 1970s Wheel memorabilia, I'm thinking that the Mayans predicted that on December 21st (my dad's 54 birthday BTW), we're going to finally get our hands on the first episode of Wheel of Fortune from January 6, 1975!

It's also the day before my 20th birthday. I hope I don't die a teenager... . But anyway, this has been a really good year, and a really bad year in terms of game shows. The good: Well, in addition to all of the rare Wheel stuff that's been uncovered (and counting), an rare episode of Second Chance has been found. The bad: Richard Dawson, Bob Stewart, Dick Clark.

USTVNOW.com usually has a stable feed of Wheel and Jeopardy!. A bit of an update on this. The ABC affiliate that is used for these online streams is in one of the markets where the shows are changing stations. We might have to try a CBS stream from now on, as that's where they're moving to there.

Thanks to an IP-address user (who, for the record, never edited on the History Wiki before) for alerting me to this...although I had to search for it myself. FOX 19, which is getting the show for Season 30, has an article about some other changes: * The "$5K Every Day" Cash Giveaway, where a SPIN ID is revealed each night and that person wins $5,000 by logging on within 24 hours. * The "decades" categories are back! * Prize wedges also award $500 per consonant! * "Ask Pat" is back, now "Ask Pat & Vanna", where they answer viewer-submitted (through the show's website) questions. * There's also going to be a "Tweetstakes", where a partially-filled puzzle is shown during select episodes and viewers who tweet wheeloffortune with the correct answer are eligible to win prizes. * A new 30th-Anniversary app for iOS and Android mobile devices, with "the latest features of today's ‘smart' platforms" and apparently themed on the show's history. So...shopping? Still, most of it seems geared toward the viewers rather than the contestants...

I can confirm that The Decades are returning- that was the category alluded to by me weeks ago. It showed up three times in at least one week alone. The site in question has an article about the show, so I see no reason to disbelieve the rest of it.

Actually, the $5000 SPIN ID thing is separate from the Prize Puzzle ID's, it seems. This season will have the "$5K Every Day" promotion often done in past seasons. Some more changes according to that article... - There will be a feature on the show's website called "Ask Pat & Vanna" where you can submit questions for them to answer during show closings. (You WILL be getting some from us, guys. ) - The "Tweet-Stakes" done during last season's College Week will now be done more often ("select shows"). - There is a new 30th Anniversary Wheel game coming soon for iOS and Android.

- There will be a feature on the show's website called "Ask Pat & Vanna" where you can submit questions for them to answer during show closings. (You WILL be getting some from us, guys. ) Yes, and I'm guessing they're just going to be softball/"silly" questions. Nothing like, for example: * Could you show the $65,000, $75,000, and $85,000 envelopes used, but never hit, during Big Money Week last season? * I've been watching the show for a long time, and I've been curious: why did Wheel stop offering prizes that weren't trips, cars, or cash? * Why aren't there any regular four-digit amounts on the Wheel other than the top value? * Why does it seem like the Culver City audiences are bored? * I've watched the show for years, and I've noticed that the Prize Puzzle has always offered trips. Why is this? * Pat, you were asked years ago on your website why the "returning champions" aspect was removed, and you said it was because bad players can luck into a runaway lead while good players keep hitting penalty spaces. If that's the case, why does it keep happening (especially with the Prize Puzzle)? * Why is Merv Griffin's music still on Jeopardy! in some form, but hasn't been on Wheel since 2000? * What's your criteria for selecting questions for "Ask Pat & Vanna"? ==== Still, they're adding budget in some good places (except, apparently, the Million-Dollar Wedge) and giving out $5,000 a night to home viewers, so it doesn't seem too bad this year. (EDIT: No, I don't think any of these would be aired. Too "hard" for them, I think.)

3-digit scores look ridiculous in that ultra-squashed font...Looks even thinner than before...

Well, now I can definitely tell the score font has been squashed vertically. I wonder why with the padding stripped they went with smaller? Also is this the friend you've been talking about all this time? Were you aware she had a critically exciting game of Deal? I'm surprised such a giant win on Deal didn't make her ineligible. I mean, heck, she seems to be a professional game player based on that article, meaning she's careful with her money unlike most Deal players (although it reversed on her).

Yes, this is who I've been talking about. Yes I knew about her past. It didn't make her ineligible because it was over 3 years ago or something like that. As long as its past a certain time frame, Wheel was cool with it.

Clarifying question from way back when...
Was the category actually "DECADES", or still "THE 90S", etc. ?

If only she did gong all the way, we'll have a epic win and she don't have to be on Wheel. But hey, at least she gets a second chance to win a million bucks.
