Yes, it was already known that Best Friends Week is taping today. It's just the air dates that are currently unknown, though they're presumably May 13 - 17. ok, well it wasn't known by me. lol Anyway, those dates are correct according to my friend. |

Yup, today's taping was "Fabulous Foods". Pat and Vanna pigged out with some of the hosts of "The Chew" at the end of the second show (was supposed to end the first show but was moved to the end of the second because the first episode ran long) |

Being at the tapings was great fun! I can't thank the kind staff enough for such a great time.
To expand on Vegas, those tapings will be in July, though they will not be the first tapings of Season 31, interestingly. A second locale (assuming there will be one. Hopefully they won't just film 4 or so weeks and spread them throughout the season) has not yet been determined.

They hinted at this week before the season started taping in the online applications, where they said they were looking for people celebrating 30th birthdays or anniversaries during that period. ...Watch them still manage to come up with themed $1,000 Toss-Ups for this week. |

NYC had Mom's Week...
LA has Dad's Week for the week of June 3.
And that's it for Season 30 themes, which reveals that this week was the last Culver City week to be taped this season on February 8. After that is the given season finale America's Game week.

...You know, I was hoping the fustercluck that was Season 28 would've taught Wheel a lesson regarding road-show tapings between seasons. I should've realized that was asking too much of this braintrust.
Four weeks at one locale was fine; six is overkill. Season 28 oh-so-aptly proved why spreading the weeks throughout the season is just dumb (other than the obviousness of unwary people in the home audience wondering "Why don't they just go to Vegas once and do all these weeks instead of making four trips?"), so if you're actually going to do six weeks in Vegas...could you guys at least air the lot in one six-week block near the start of Season 31?
...Or am I asking too much of this braintrust once again?

At least we're getting six weeks away from Culver City compared to just four from Seasons 29 and 30. More road shows seem unlikely at this point, but at least it's an improvement is some way.
