IMHO, Sanam, $13,000 (all cash) is a great day on Wheel. And that was a great R4 solve!
I can sympathize with you on WISHING BOWL, though; I thought it was FISHING something before the W came up as well.
BR was all about finding that last word, which was why I wondered why she bothered with the V. Anyways, without any extra letters, it stumped me; G and H would have helped.

Sanam, you should be very proud. That's alot of pressure and you handled yourself quite well. My wife and I were rooting hard for you. Too bad Pat couldn't have landed on $5000. Made us both sick when you struck out on that O. You had an awesome solve and just needed one more double on that last round.....
Look forward to reading your insights in the future.

I guess ultimately it's up to the contestant to object. It's possible he didn't click it fully, but that's probably grasping at straws. Thing is, Wheel should be looking out for these things as well. Otherwise, they just look lazy and uncar-wait... at the very least, if I were in charge, and I noticed it, I'd be adding an extra $2000 cash to the check the show's cutting him... Yeah, but the show doesn't like spending money. Also, is it just me or did Pat maybe want me to win, just a little? One can hope, at least. Well, Nancy was grating and Andre was just...there. Speaking of which, this whole thing with Andre reminds me of the CO-WORKERS incident from 1999, where the show also went the lazy, uncaring, "Screw You" route. Neither made a difference in the end, but both are pretty glaring.

Just an additional thought - Ever since my tape day I was wondering to myself why the heck I picked "O" and not "I", when the puzzle was SURFING THE BIGGEST WAVES EVER. This whole time I'd forgotten that the category was FUN & GAMES - since that day I've been thinking it was WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Watching the episode made it clear. Seriously...if the category had been WHAT ARE YOU DOING, my strategy would have been SO DIFFERENT - I would have owned it!!! Also I just realized that Andre never spun the wheel - not even once! Edit - my bad for forgetting he did spin once in R2. And ... thanks for all your nice comments everyone

Didn't he hit $3,500 in Round 2 and dud out? That's not much of a spin, but it still counts.

Oh yeah, my bad.
Re: PP round...I'm not gonna lie. When Andre said "Pat I'd like to solve the puzzle"...my heart dropped. I still thought maybe I had a chance. (sigh)

Yes, it was wrong for the show to keep moving on, but Andre should have said something, even if it meant they had to stop tape. I know I would have spoken up.
For those who didn't catch it, it's very clear here...

Poor Andre! Thinking back I wish I had recognized it better. At the time I just figured Nancy buzzed in first even though I could hear the clicks from him. Andre...if you're out there, you deserved that puzzle!!!
After the episode was over, Andre and I were ushered upstairs to sign our paperwork. Andre was telling me how happy and excited he was with his winnings. I think the trip to Hawaii was a huge deal for him.

Doesn't F&G also commonly have -ING?

Honestly...you are probably right, but I clearly wasn't thinking in that direction. Dumb Sanam.

I definitely remember seeing some F&G puzzles with -ING in them. Aww, now I feel really bad for you over that, Sanam.

Oh man, this was not fun to watch...and not even because the game was poorly played! TU1: That was quick! TU2: WISHING BOWL did not sound that bad to me, honestly. R1: Wow, that was a good round. Pity I didn't like Nancy, but that was well played by her. R2: Great job getting on the board, Sanam! R3: This. Was. Painful. I am so very sorry, Sanam, you did not deserve getting a dud at that point in time. Hopefully now the show will cut down on the value of prizes as they should NOT completely determine the game. Wishful thinking, I know. TU3: Again, great job, Sanam! R4: Come on, Pat! Couldn't you spin $5,000 that night? Still, Sanam, you had a great solving moment in that round! That should go on the list of great solves in Wheel! BR: Now I feel even worse. This was not that hard, and B, G, H, and O would have killed it. You got robbed, Sanam, but 13K is pretty darn good. You played beautifully, as I expected, and I just wish your score reflected that a little more. Don't worry about it though, as what's done is done. Best of luck with your future endeavors! ;D

Yes, it was wrong for the show to keep moving on, but Andre should have said something, even if it meant they had to stop tape. I know I would have spoken up. For those who didn't catch it, it's very clear here... {snip} So to recap: Sanam rings in, gives a wrong answer that'll likely make the blooper reels (it certainly made my new signature), Pat properly rules her wrong, Andre tries to ring in at least ten times to no avail (even looking down at the device briefly), Nancy presses hers once while he's still pressing his and gives the right answer, Andre just puts his device away and claps. Dafuq.

You know, Sanam, I still think you were onto something when you bought that O in R3. After all, O is a good vowel to buy, and a pretty common one too. But the fact that it wasn't in the puzzle, that upsets me. In any case, I'm really sorry that had to happen to you. Well, aside from that, as hard as it was for me to watch R3, you played a great game, and you did finish with a really nice total, all cash too! Congratulations on that! Also, like I said earlier, you are one of the best contestants to ever be on Wheel, and I loved your personality! Plus, you got to be part in a once-in-a-lifetime experience! And as long as you had fun, I think that's what matters the most here.

Thanks...why am I one of the best contestants? I honestly don't feel like I did anything special. I wished upon a wishing bowl for crying out loud! But I appreciate your nice comments...definitely makes me feel better.

Glad you're feeling better. Well, aside from the wishing bowl moment, I think the way you solved that R4 puzzle with just 5 letters up there was pretty impressive! And of course, you have a great personality too!
