I'm a little disappointed, too, Wario. I'm in a city that has a beam of light shooting up from a black pyramid that can be seen from outer space. Did the production not get the memo about how we love light here?
woffanallhislife: It's a joke, hence that face at the end of it.

For those who think Harry Friedman loves to save money every way he can, you're going to like it. "Ok, we need to shave a couple thousand dollars off the budget. Exactly how much electricity is required to make sure the Bonus Wheel shows up on camera, but no more than that. That much? Can you lower it a little more? Ok, good. Oh, and just so viewers at home know exactly which wedge was chosen, make sure that each wedge lights up gradually in a sky blue color after the contestant picks up the envelope, but as soon as we cut to Sajak taking the envelope and the contestant's hand (it doesn't matter which sex they are this season), turn off the lighting in the wheel. Good meeting, good meeting. Now, about the craft services budget.... Hey, where are you all going? Oh come on! Vanna doesn't even eat that much!" Pretty funny, Rory, but let's try to cut the fanfiction from now on, OK?

He was in the audience for five episodes taped in Vegas. Is the Express Wedge on the wheel in those weeks?

Pretty funny, Rory, but let's try to cut the fanfiction from now on, OK? I don't do fanfiction. I do satire. Understood, though. woffanallhislife: Yep, it's there in all its glory.

There's no doubt that Express will be available every episode. The only confusion going on right now is the sudden round structure change on at least the show airing February 14th. Otherwise, it should be in Round 3.

Just for the general record, the bolded portions weren't originally there. Yeah, I thought of those right after and had to put them in. An addition to the record for the new season: There are no massive set changes between weeks. The wraparound on set is of the Venetian, no change there, though of course the video wall behind the contestants changes as necessary, including for Palazzo Week. What amazes me most about it is the definition on it, how incredibly clear it is. If the video wall segments had not been recorded, I would have seriously thought that the Palazzo segments were beamed in live, though of course that area is never that empty. woffanallhislife: I defer to the great Louis Armstrong on this matter: "There are some people that if they don't know, you can't tell 'em." Of course, he was talking about jazz, one of my favorite music genres, so I usually defer to him a great deal anyway.

Didn't think so. Road shows these days never change the set except for the graphics on the screens. I'm a little disappointed, too. Dude! You rock! Where did you find that beauty?
Amazing how quickly Sands Expo turns back into a convention center. Walking into Hall A those two days, where the soundstage was, I quickly forgot I was in a convention center. The bleachers I sat on tried to remind me, but I fought them off.
Any word from any sources you know about what's coming up in the production schedule? Regular run of shows for the time being? I think the most interesting development to come will be who might become the new permanent director.

This post doesn't surprise me. It's no wonder they used all those things to pack up. I bet they were disappointed to leave. Removed unnecessary quoting of large image. Please remove images from quotes next time unless they're small.

(Can't say where specifically for privacy reasons) Culver City tapings resume on August 22. I assume after that, it will be the typical "Thursday and Friday every two weeks" routine until February or March. I'm pretty sure if there was another remote for this season, we would have heard about it by now.

Is it bad that I thought the backdrop wasn't actually a backdrop until seeing that shot?

I'm pretty sure if there was another remote for this season, we would have heard about it by now. Online! Perfect! That newfangled Internet thing is really taking off! I'd imagine it gives them a few weeks to work out the director question, or to alternate in the way of auditions. Or a steel cage match in the middle of the Sony lot. Keep in mind that I'm still relatively new here, so please hold off on throwing fruits and vegetables at me: How long has "Thursday and Friday every two weeks" gone on? Has it been way early on, like season 20 and before that? I always wonder about such things. Wario: It's not at all bad. Shows the incredible photography that goes into such a backdrop. It's that convincing.

Keep in mind that I'm still relatively new here, so please hold off on throwing fruits and vegetables at me The only person we (or at least I) throw stuff at is Friedman, and even then it's only tomatoes. And even then, it's usually only in regard to themed puzzles. I'd imagine it gives them a few weeks to work out the director question, or to alternate in the way of auditions. Or a steel cage match in the middle of the Sony lot. I vote for the third option. Alternately, hire Rich DiPirro and give him some Jeff Goldstein and early Dick Carson episodes to study. /and then send those episodes to me //Bart Eskander might just make me stop caring entirely, though ///that garbage can isn't solving the puzzle, Bart

I don't know for sure since I didn't gain an interest in following Wheel's taping schedule until Season 29, but I imagine that's how it's been for a while. I know it was done that way in Season 26, though about once per season, they will tape Wednesday/Thursday one week instead of Thursday/Friday for some reason.

I know it was done that way in Season 26, though about once per season, they will tape Wednesday/Thursday one week instead of Thursday/Friday for some reason. That reason seems simple: Longer weekend.
