The next tape dates have been announced on the official WOF website: July 10-11 with the respective themes Halloween and Home Sweet Home, and July 23-24 (Wednesday and Thursday).

The Hawaii taping days have been announced: September 13-14 and 16-17 (Fri-Wed). So immediately before and after the season premiere airs on TV.  Also, want to buy your way to an audition? Well you can...for at least $687. The Hilton Waikoloa Village is offering a limited-availability "Contestant Package" stay starting at $229 a night (must stay three nights minimum), which grants you two tickets to any taping and a guaranteed audition spot for a Culver City episode. |

Not necessarily. It's a promotion that the hotel is offering. If you're staying at the hotel around the time of the tapings, you can opt for the WOF Contestant Package and you'll be guaranteed an audition, but it won't be for the shows taping there. The audition will most likely be in Hawaii (or if they won't be in the area, they might be held over to a more local audition in the future).

Found this interesting gem on the Hilton website. For the upcoming Hawaii tapings, Hilton Waikoloa Village has a special Wheel of Fortune package (limited number according to the site) where if you book and stay with them around the wheel taping dates, the package will include tickets to a taping (if you're staying one of those days) and a final audition slot for the show (no Hawaii contestant slots are being allotted for this audition, only future LA shows). Skimming the fine print: The audition is on September 12th and it looks like the hotel is requiring you must stay at least the day before. Looks like you can stay 2 nights and are eligible. Looks like only one slot will be reserved per room so you can't have 4 people book and split the cost of one room and take up 4 slots. I wonder if the 2006 theme is finally on its way out or if they're going to still use it through 2016. Personally, I think the 2006 theme should go. Also, are the category strips still the same since Season 26 or are there going to be new ones?

I sure hope they're going back to the season 21-22 category strips. BTW judging by the early tape dates being on the generic set, I'm guessing the other theme besides Shopping Spree taped on that set is either Teachers' Week, Weekend Getaways, or Wheel Around the World.

Don't know what taped today, but here's the set:  I don't really like how the America's Game logo is starting to become "generic scenery" like the video wall, but I do like the font and at least it does include the logo even if it is pretty small. Looks like they're indeed sticking with the previous season's logo. And best of luck to mtr who tapes in a few hours! |

(oh well, nothing beats waiting four months)..i guess the only bummer is it will be difficult for me to round up all my friends on the day after thanksgiving, what with everyone leaving town or doing black friday shopping. the great outdoors set really was gorgeous though as she stated, would definitely like to sit inside the log cabin! |
