Someone I know went to a recent taping and confirmed the big changes we've already heard of, but had one other thing: the Mystery Wedge apparently got a redesign. Still worth $1,000 as far as I know, so the changes are largely cosmetic. Did they give any details about the redesign?

It appears the lettering on the name tags are now slightly larger/wider. No 5-letter name was ever this big in previous seasons. It was wide for a few months in Season 17, after the October 4 changes.

The $10,000 side has the numbers closer to the edge, which I took to mean they got rid of the bill over the dollar sign and just moved everything up.

having seen it yesterday, it's definitely a bit more purple (and a bit more sparkly, in my opinion) than in seasons past

Well if they did recolor it purple, that means you've got a case of two wedges of the same color separated by only one wedge ($650/Free Play/Mystery), something I don't like. The $600/Bankrupt/$500 occurrence from 1984 or 1985 to 1986 still makes me wish to this day that the $500 was red instead of yellow. My viewpoint is that the Mystery wedge would've been better off in the color they were in. If they were given a grayish color, a more bluish color, or perhaps even a scheme that was reminiscent of their $500 ancestors, those would've worked.
Any info about where they're placed?

Something tells me they wouldn't change the placement of them. That seems rather unnecessary. Then again most of the changes as we've discovered as of later are unnecessary.

It seems that all wedges are in the same placements that in S31, as Mario stated a few posts before

I wonder if they're still going to use the alternatively-colored version for weekly-themed promos. I just uploaded a shot of that to the Wiki (with the yellow wedges lit up).
I actually told you about this when Season 31's Wheel Around the World week first aired, MarioGS. I don't know if you were able to notice it. It's okay if you didn't, but I just wanted to let you know.

what other changes are there?
- new music package? - new category strips?
Or is the 2006 theme staying this upcoming season?

$32,000 in the bonus round sounds kind of strange. I'm guessing that $35,000 will be the lowest bonus round value come season 35.
Vowels are still $250? I'm starting to think that rule will never change.
If the Mystery Wedge is getting a redesign, then it's possible that they will no longer use the same Mystery round intro that they've used since 2007.

Vowels are still $250? I'm starting to think that rule will never change. Until the economy gets wrecked, anyway. ...Wait a minute—hasn't Wheel been around long enough for the economy to be wrecked several times since its NBC debut? *rolls eyes*

Yes, that's the official title card for the new season. Hopefully we'll get a clearer version soon.

Now that looks more like a real wheel IMO. No floating wedges...

Just received word that the Bonus Round minimum will increase by $1,000 every season from now on to match the season number, so we can expect $33,000 for the next season.

...that is so random. Can we not just pick a number and stick with it? We had $25,000 for the longest time, then $30,000 for a good long while, and now all of a sudden it's this mess.
I'm not against giving out more money, but this is just weird. You don't see Jeopardy making all their clues for the next season in $310 increments, nor Price giving out a $4,300 bonus for spinning a dollar on the wheel. Just... if you want to make it higher, pick a number that makes sense and stand by it. And while you're at it, spread the envelopes out a little where they're not almost all the bare minimum.
