Well, I've counted bad. If we consider the April-September space of time as a separate season, this new season will be Season 11. If not, it will be Season 10. Just for curiosity, nowadays it's the second Spanish game show on air that has been airing so much time (the first is called "Saber y ganar", "Knowing and winning", and it's on air since 1997).

I'll explain you the new features of the show after the first episode of this season:
- In the "?" wedge, a bribe is no longer made with the host: now he tells to the contestants three possible options that could be in the wedge, and (s)he must decide if he flips it or not. - There is a new puzzle, the "Canción con Pregunta" (a song with a question): it's an ordinary Toss-Up with song lyrics and a €100 prize, but the clue of the puzzle is a question related to the song. If the contestant answer correctly, (s)he wins €200 more. - The new Express (translated as "Exprés") wedge appears at the same round as the €1,000 wedge, and both wedges are retired at the same time, for the last round. The host said that he would explain how it works when they landed on it, but it wasn't hit. However, I've asked by Facebook if it's the same wedge as the American one but with a limit of 45 seconds, and they've answered yes. What I don't know is neither the face value of the wedge nor the value of every consonant. - The "Tú eliges" puzzle is played after a Toss-Up, and it lets the winner of the former to choose the next puzzle. The host offers two topics and (s)he must choose one of them. - Finally, there are two changes in the Bonus Round. Firstly, the Ayuda Final wedge offers no more and extra clue, but five seconds more to solve the puzzle. And the second change is that they have changed the letters offered by the show. Until now, they were CLXGA and since yesterday the new letters are RSFYO. Since R, S, N and E were the most common picks, now they offer two of them and players must think more which letters they should pick.

Well, thanks for the information about the changes. By the way, where did you get the picture for your avatar?

Well, thanks for the information about the changes. By the way, where did you get the picture for your avatar? The day before the season premiere they updated their Facebook profile and changed they avatar to this picture. However, after a few minutes they replaced it by the current logo (which is the center of the Wheel). I forgot it: finally someone landed on Express, and the rules are a bit different, as I thought, although the essence is the same. The wedge appears at Round 3 and disappears before the last round. If someone lands on it, as in the American version, (s)he has to call a consonant first. However, this consonant doesn't award money. If the consonant is on the puzzle, the host ask her/him to accept the challenge of the Express: 45 seconds to call consonants for €50, buy vowels (also for €50, the ordinary price of a vowel) and solve the puzzle when (s)he wants, and an incorrect consonant, vowel, answer or a timeout results in a Bankrupt. And here comes the big difference: when someone accepts the challenge, (s)he has to pick up the wedge and give it to the host. So, only one person can accept the challenge in a show.

Ooh, so the big differences to the American versions (besides values) are that there's only one run at most per show and that you've got only 45 seconds to solve the puzzle.
As for the picture, thanks for letting me know. Now for those who think it's gone, it's not. It's still up on their photo section.

Yes, and I don't think they will delete it from their profile. However, it's not the official and current layout. The current layout is, without any add-on wedges and counterclockwise (in the order in which the arrows hit the wedges):
200 25 50 75 25 PIERDE TURNO 50 1/2 75 50 25 QUIEBRA 50 25 50 25 75 PIERDE TURNO X2 50 25 0 150 QUIEBRA
During the three first shows, the 1/2 wedge and the following €75 wedge were swapped and the former was red. That's because they tape three shows per day, twice in a week.

Contrast that round with this one. A round so bad, Jorge proclaims it "the worst round in the history of the show...even when it was still called 'La Ruleta de la Fortuna' 20-some-odd years ago!"

Back on a game of "Bankrupt Palooza" we had a long time ago (but not the infamous Round 3 from 11/28/2013), I remember Javier posted about a round that was all "Quiebra" and "Pierde Turno" around the same time. Was this the round of La ruleta?

^ SIX Bankrupts and THREE LATs in that single infamous round??? Sounds more like an episode of the Twilght Zone than Wheel of Fortune!
As for the clip Josh posted, still trying to figure out the category! Thinking that it's SCRAMBLED or something like that. Regardless it gave the contestants trouble. As did that wheel, which by the way looks way larger than ours in the US.

Still not as bad as this round. 9 duds, 8 Bankrupts, 3 Lose A Turns, 2 repeats, and a double-repeat R. That's 24 lost turns! We can never seem to bring it all together in the U.S. version.

(Was trying to type a euro sign and then something happened. Let's try that again.) Not to mention all the x2, 1/2, and 0 hits for no money, forcing the players to spin again! Perhaps lousan92 will chime in to correct me on some details I misheard, but the "category" isn't really a category. The word Jorge uses is "pista" (clue), and in this case (Jorge out and says this midway through the round) the puzzle is a synonym of the phrase "No aguanto más" (I can't take it anymore). The words are scrambled (desordenado) all over the board, some even appearing vertically!

The words are scrambled (desordenado) all over the board, some even appearing vertically! Just like that: although they have some recurring clues, there are not categories at all. The most similar thing to categories are the themed puzzle, which can be "Frases de cine" (Movie Quotes), "Falsa definición" (a fake and humorous definition of something)... But in these cases, there is also an specific clue (in "Frases de cine", the clue is usually the movie in which the phrase is mentioned). And this puzzle is scrambled as you can see. The solution is usually easy, the difficulty comes when players have to order the words themselves.

Am I wrong or the American used letter board works in the reverse way? I mean, in La Ruleta they put in the board the letters while they are picked, but I think that in Wheel there are all the letters at the beginning an they disappear once called.

In two weeks, La Ruleta will celebrate its 10th anniversary and, meanwhile, they are uploading funny clips from all this 10 years to their Facebook. If you want to watch them, here is the link. www.facebook.com/ruletadelasuerte/They seem to be uploading two clips each day

Speaking of the tenth anniversary...looks like they're having another tournament. Jorge, Laura, and Joaquin (the bandleader) have each chosen three previous contestants to play again, and the winners of each show will play in a final. Whereas Joaquin seemed to pick musical contestants, and Laura seemed to pick guys who flirted with her (although I think she said one of her players appeared on her, like, third episode, danced with her, and put her at ease because she was so nervous at the time)...Jorge's choice? The first three contestants from 10 years ago. www.antena3.com/programas/la-ruleta-de-la-suerte/noticias/ruleta-suerte-cumple-anos-como-rey-imbatible-mananas_2016041400242.html
