I do have a question about the tournaments for this version: Do they only invite contestants who made it to the bonus round by winning the main game or do they invite any contestant that already appeared on the show?

They can choose any contestant if they consider that (s)he made something interesting in the episode in which (s)he appeared (not only good players, but also humorous contestants, players who sang with the band, as Joaquín did, or even players who showed an special ability).
This tournament will be a little different: the three players chosen by each of Jorge, Laura and Joaquín will face together in a Toss-Up and a normal round, and the three winners will continue until the end of the show.

I wonder how the tournament will go. In the meantime, I thought I'd let you all know that someone uploaded an episode from February 1, 1994 just the other day. Enjoy!

The tournament was a very good idea. However, one of the players won €8,000 in her eliminatory phase, so it wasn't really exciting In fact, it happened in a very strange way. The spin of this girl landed on the Bankrupt on the left side of the €1,000 space, but the backwards movement of the Wheel caused that, finally, her arrow came back to the €1,000 space. It's the second time that happens and it counted as if she has landed on the €1,000 space I hope I could find a video of that... I'm sure you would enjoy it.

Just for you, guys: I've just discovered a YouTube channel that is uploading daily episodes of La Ruleta. The image is not very clear, but I suppose that it's because they want to avoid the YouTube bots: www.youtube.com/channel/UCwmUYR8ccbBUi8dmKv1Z26Q

It will be like the 9th anniversary special: when players land on the "Verano" wedge, they will be given a replica of the wedge. If they solve the puzzle, they will go to the little wheel to choose an envelope with a cash amount and a question. If they answer correctly, they will add the amount to their totals (up to €500).

In La Ruleta they are also starting a new season and they are introducing a new feature beggining tomorrow: all players who end with €0 will be awarded with €100 (the "pity hundred" ). However, they don't say anything of round minimums or, if there isn't round minimum, what will happen if a player ends with something between €0 and €100.They will celebrate this new rule bringing teams of previous players who ended up with €0 at some point of the history of the show (tomorrow is Tuesday 13, considered in Latin cultures as the day of bad luck). EDIT: I've asked the staff by Twitter and they say that they will apply this rule only when a player ends with €0. However, they think that with this rule they will encourage players to spin the Wheel to reach at least the €100 (there are so many players that solve puzzles for €50 only because they don't want to end with €0).

Well, that's not directly related to "La Ruleta" or its gameplay, but it's funny to watch. Antena 3, the same channel that airs "La Ruleta", has another show called "Hipnotízame" ("Hypnotise me"). In that show, celebrities are hypnotised by Jeff Toussaint, a professional hypnotist, so Jeff makes celebrities to do whatever he wants. In the last show, Jeff hipnotised Laura Moure, "La Ruleta"'s hostess, and a contestant of the show. They wanted to make a joke to Jorge while recording a fake episode. And that was the result. Probably you won't understand at all as it's in Spanish, so I'll make a little summary: in the first part, Jeff made the contestant to flirt with Jorge, and in the second part he played with Laura, making her stopping in the middle of the puzzleboard after revealing the letters and doing strange movements while the Wheel was spinning. In fact, it ended with Jorge having a different puzzle in his tablet, as one of the players called the L and he was extremely convinced that it was in the puzzle. I hope that you can watch it: www.antena3.com/programas/hipnotizame/hipnotizame/jorge-fernandez-conquista-a-una-hipnotizada-concursante-de-la-ruleta-de-la-suerte_2016090757d089f20cf2d961f2cf357c.html

A full episode from 1996 has just surfaced. Couple things to note. Vowels cost 50,000 pesetas (or points/puntos as they apparently refer to it here) and whoever solves each puzzle gets a score bonus of 100,000. That Pregunton wedge sees some action here too. Enjoy!

They're celebrating their 12th anniversary in style right now: - The contestants for the next three weeks appear to be top money winners from the past year.
- They've introduced a new wedge/token, "Empiezo Yo" (I Start). A player can use this at the beginning of a round, after the clue has been announced, that they wouldn't normally start, and control of the wheel immediately goes to them to start the round.
- There's a new kind of puzzle, the "Prueba de Velocidad Decreciente" (Decreasing Toss-up). Played like a normal Tossup, except that there's a pot of 2,000 euros to start. It decreases by a certain amount (proportional to the number of letters in the puzzle) for each letter that's revealed. The player who buzzes in and solves wins however much money is showing on the counter when they buzzed.
- For this celebration, any player who correctly solves the bonus puzzle wins not only what they would normally get from the bonus wheel, but an additional 25,000 euros.
- The top three money winners from these three weeks of play come back for one final game, where they will compete for 100,000 euros.
This appears to be the first episode from this tournament, and what an exciting game it is.

If you thought the American version has had some rough rounds lately, wait 'til you see this. The Jackpot round from this past Monday's show: For those who don't speak Spanish, a summary of the events is contained in the spoiler tags: 1. Red calls a bad J with a bunch of money in his bank. (Not for completely boneheaded reasons, as Jorge points out he thought the second word was REMOJADAS...which wasn't possible since the M was already on the board.)
2. Yellow, who was leading up to that point, missolves while trying for nothing but the right to play the bonus round (there is no house minimum in Spain).
3. Blue steals Red’s money with Me Lo Quedo, builds up enough in the bank to win the game (even though she doesn't know the second word), and missolves.
4. Red, now with nothing, spins X2 trying for the last consonant (which is worth nothing to him anyway), and accidentally repeats a letter in the puzzle.
5. Yellow solves for nothing but preservation of her lead, winning the game.
6. Earlier, Red had picked up only 50€ (and even that was a tactical error that Jorge called him out on)...which is all he goes home with. (Quoth Jorge: "If you had finished with nothing, we'd have given you 100€ instead, but since you solved one puzzle earlier, it's just the 50€...")

Yikes!
Well, on a better note, here's an episode of the elder version from October of 1991. Note much of the music and sound effects from the German version have been borrowed. It also appears they've been experimenting with increasing the top peseta value every round which resulted in a lot of adjacent wedges of the same value.

October 24, 2014: An absolute monster of a score pre-bonus round. Quoth Jorge at the end of the game: "I think this is a record."

This may seems like an unrelating question, but does anyone know where can I find a clean version of the sound they used when the puzzle is revealed on the board?

I don't know about the puzzle reveal sound, but here's an Amazon link to buying the full soundtrack. Far as I can tell, there are different versions of each cue included in this album--refer to this list for the main keywords: - Cabecera: Main Theme
- Crono: Toss-up music (Crono Abril sounds like the one they use for the first Prueba de Velocidad on every show)
- Express: I've never heard this cue on the show before, but this does not sound like the actual Express cue.
- Golpe: Different versions of the Bonus Round timer.
- Gong: More tossup music (possibly unused?)
- Ludico: See "Gong"
- Panel: See "Gong"
- Presentacion: Backing track riff of the main theme, played while the players are introducing themselves. Also doubles as closing theme. (Presentacion Febrero sounds closest to the one actually heard on the show)
- Relax: Slower interstitial music.
- Reloj: More Bonus Round timer music.
- Velocidad: More Tossup music.
