The first set picture comes from none other than Vanna. Not much has changed in terms of sets, unsurprisingly. Hopefully it won't be long until we get some decent pictures of the Wheel.  |

Well, it looks like the title card is remaining the same for the first time in a while, but then again, some taping pics from S30 had the S29 logo on that wall, so that can't be confirmed just yet. The scoreboards now have a "cloudy" texture at least when they're in the "logo" state. Previously, they were just solid colors. It is unknown if this texture remains during the game, replacing the "Wheel" texture that has been there ever since they began using monitor scoreboards. The bare layout seems to be the same, but notice that all the cardboard is ready to go for R1 except for the 1/2 Car tags. Could the 1/2 Car be retired, perhaps due to all the wins last season? We will know for sure soon. (If it's true, let me just say that I CALLED IT! :whistle: )  |

Well, I'm a bit disappointed that nothing seems to have changed on the barren layout since $750, $850, and $950 won't be present, but I guess we'll know for sure about the area between the Bankrupt and the Prize wedge soon enough.
Yet if the barren layout hasn't changed, which most likely will be the case, this will be the first time since 2011 that has happened.
Season 28: Same as Season 27.
Season 29: The green $700 decreases to $500 to accommodate the Half Car tags.
Season 30: Several increases and decreases here and there to have tokens and the Prize wedge have a face value of $500, clearly the biggest change here.
Season 31: The purple $550 is decreased to $500 to accommodate the new area for the Gift Tag.
Season 32: The lowest value becomes $500; any values below $500 are increased to a value above $500 while retaining their $X00 and $X50 status.
Season 33: Possibly the same as Season 32.

We all know what is under the Prize Wedge The only wedges we don't know are the one in the Free Play section, but I bet they will remain untouched. As Mario has said: I CALLED IT About 1/2 Car tags... Well, I don't know, it seems that they have been removed probably due to budget. But in that case, I would have also changed those now free green $500 spaces with another values. I don't know if you have noticed that, but we don't see any special wedge in the R1 layout. So... Could we already say that the round structure will be the same as the two last seasons? |

Here's a picture from the rehearsal game of today's tapings courtesy of Randy West. Score font is the same, but it's too blurry to see if the "cloudy" scoreboard texture carries over to gameplay. Express can clearly be seen on the Wheel, which is put in place for the rehearsal games.  |

Yes, Weekend Getaways is from October 5-9 with the sixth episode airing on December 28th.
1/2 Car is NOT retired, it's just not in round 1 anymore.

So the barren layout has not been changed after all. First time since Season 29 that such occurred (I just added that to the Wiki BTW). Now, I got to tell you something, thiswheel13. After $650 was brought back in 2012, that's what gave me hope for $750, $850, and $950. In fact, being the big value buff that I am, I was actually the one who brought up the information that there was a possibility $650 was returning three years ago. As for the Half-Car tags, I can see why they're not available in Round 1 anymore, considering all those Half-Car wins toward the end of Season 32. At the same time, however, the Wheel once again has even less action in Round 1, again meaning since the Jackpot was retired for Season 31. |

OK, I partially called it, then. Obviously the show is trying to remedy all the 1/2 Car wins from this past season, but one would think they would want to make it R1-2 and not R2-3 to prevent people from winning the Car and Prize Puzzle at the same time, just like the Prize Wedge. |
