So, basically, in R3, we have this cluster: $600/EXPRESS/$600/$650....
I hate to say this but having three 6's like that in a row looks almost evil. I hope they change this quick. It looks horrible. I think for my homemade wheel, I will just use a $800 wedge.

Well this is just lovely. Look at this extremely lopsided distribution now...
4x Non-Cash (two Bankrupt, one LaT, one Free Play) 1x TDV 1x $900 (lost two) 1x $800 (lost one) 3x $700 (one covered by Mystery in R2, another by Express in R3) 3x $650 (gained one) 4x $600 (gained two - one covered by Mystery in R2) 1x $550 6x $500 (all covered at various times - by Wild Card, gift tag, and MDW in R1-3, car tags in R2-3, and prize wedge in R1-2)
The net loss in cash value is only $750, but the losses are quite a bit larger in terms of intangible value. Two points for consideration...
There are 20 cash wedges on the wheel. All of them are $500 or more, but now only THREE are over $700 (used to be six!). That does make the $800 and $900 spots more special, I guess, but it feels very unbalanced and like a big step back in terms of good design.
And you know what's even more unbalanced about it? All three of those over-$700 wedges fall in a seven-wedge span (TDV-Bankrupt-900-500/CAR-650-500/PRIZE-800). So if your spins go away from that little section, you'd better hope for a cardboard/gimmick spot, because otherwise $700 is the best you're getting.
I know there are probably budget-related reasons for these changes, and I understand that as well as anybody else. But speaking purely from a standpoint of good wheel design, amount balance, and excitement factor... I really, REALLY do not like these moves.

They should've left the yellow $900 alone and changed the orange $900 to $600, that is if they insist on having 4 $600 wedges. I still say having all 4 $600 wedges on the same side of the wheel looks unbalanced and I absolutely can't stand that $600/$700/$600/$650 cluster----especially in R3.

^ I didn't know the eBags Gift Tag was less than $1,000. I think the other member was talking about how cheap looking and generic the new eBags tag looks compared to what it used to look like: Art by Wheelgenius

On that new wheel pic, is that the China trip wedge? I love that wedge.

Now I'm seriously perplexed. I was really hoping that yellow wedge would be an $800. Now the wheel is gonna look even more odd this season than it was this past season.

^I agree about season 33's wheel but I actually liked season 32's. Look on the bright side, it won't be long before they change it again...
I kind of miss the $300, $350, $400, & $450 wedges....at least it gave the wheel some variety and you didn't wind up with 3 amounts almost in a row like $600-$700-$600-$650----that looks so strange.
Season 33 will go down as having one of the worst wheel configurations of the entire show's history, IMO.

^ Probably the worst in the franchise's history. Only a 40% difference between more than 3/4 of the entire layout, two more that aren't much better, only one significant difference, and four bad wedges. They'd have to outdo La Ruleta for special wedges to make up for this.
EDIT: Wait a minute. I should have added that the only wedges higher than $700 are each adjacent to one of the bad wedges (except a Mystery Wedge and Express).

Did something happen in the first two weeks to make this change happen? It seems really odd that we didn't get these changes until the third taping. I know they've changed things after the season's started, but usually it's to add something to the game, not take it away. I hope we can still get some big winners even with the decreased wheel amounts. Also, I thought it looked weird when the Price is Right set blacked out for a few seconds, I couldn't imagine how odd it would be if I was in this audience when the power went out. Please don't quote large images, thanks.

I had this feeling inside of me for the last few days, but I didn't want to share it until we found out for sure because I didn't want to jinx anything. If they were going to bring down the yellow wedge from $900 to $800 and the orange wedge from $800 to $650, why couldn't they just bring the value of the yellow wedge down from $900 to $650 and leave the orange $800 alone? I just felt something wasn't right. Furthermore, I think I read someone else's post here that had similar feelings as I did.

^I was thinking the exact same thing but I still kept hoping for the best. I REALLY wanted that yellow wedge to be $800. An $800 wedge would look so much better there than $600. I still say in the express round, that looks almost scary with having $600-express-$600-$650 in a row.

I've just read about this. Well, as I said, this template is really close to La Ruleta's current template, in which now there are only two wedges over €100 excluding the €1,000 one (one €150 and one €200 covered by the "?" wedge, €100 has disappeared for a while) and the rest are €25, €50 and €75 wedges. Well, let's see if those downgrades really affect the winnings of the season.

It just dawned on me...maybe they're doing these wheel decreases for season 33 and possibly 34 because they have something big planned for season 35 and they want to go easy on the budget now. We can hope.

Idk how I didn't see this before but let me just say what fucking eyesore the layout is this season. Do we really need ALL 4 $600s on the same half of the wheel! I'm just gonna stop now before I get going too much because you'd be reading into season 34 by the time I finished

I'm so sorry. I couldn't resist. I'd been meaning to do this meme with Wheel for a long time but now is the perfect time to do it.
