Haha mechamind, good point. (And seriously, I tried re-uploading twice ) Speaking of looking at the Wheel, you will be told this tuffy, but it's very easy to look at the wrong arrow when it's spinning. Another former contestant suggested not to even look at the wheel (which is super hard. It's mesmerizing haha). Just let Pat tell you what you landed on and use wheel-spinning time to figure out the puzzle/look at used letter board. I can't think of anything new that hasn't been said in other spinning stories and advice I've read elsewhere. The Used Letter Board is your best friend. I know people get nervous and stuff, but just look at that and don't say the letter if you don't see it there! Contestants don't see the puzzle board straight on like I assumed when watching TV. It's all angled out like a theatrical set so you'll be seeing it at a bit of an angle. Not a big deal, it just threw me at first. It won't be a problem though, you get a rehearsal turn or 3. You've heard it before, but the wheel is harder to spin than it looks. Pull then PUSH AWAY! - You'll get a stronger spin! I'm not for sure, but I think I forgot that second part and will look like a weakling on national TV. But honestly, I don't remember. It will be the most surreal fastest blur of your life. You've heard this before too, but go in to HAVE FUN! You've already won just by being on the show. And it's possible you'll get unlucky despite being a great puzzle solver. I'm talking about members of our very own community here that left with $1k just because of bad wheel luck. It can happen, so be mentally prepared for that and try not to daydream too much about bonus land. Also it may have just been my giddiness of being there, but I thoroughly enjoyed hearing the phrase "wedge ledge." Seriously, I was smiling like a goof the whole time. So much fun. And Jim is a PRO! Note the tie he is wearing. He coordinates with the theme of the week! After my taping, I went to watch the show with my family and there weren't empty seats, so they put a folding chair in the aisle with my family. Jim saw me and interviewed me between one of the tapings haha. I don't remember much of what was said. But he's very cool! He does trivia between the tapings and answers questions and stuff for the audience. Best of luck to you and those taping soon!

Thanks Kev, I appreciate all your thoughts and suggestions, and interesting about the angle of the puzzleboard. I will try to focus on the used letterboard, and not focus on my or anybody else's spins. My goal is to solve at least one puzzle and have the time of my life! But I've watched so long I know how fickle that darn wheel can be I'm prepared for all scenarios lol

Great advice Kevin! Tuffy, I used the "don't look at the wheel" approach for my Seattle week taping. I was satisfied with that for the most part, except I had no idea how much $ was in my bank. I was super focused on studying the puzzleboard and I forgot to check my bank. Be sure to check you bank! Lol.

So here's what they're doing for Big Money Week... Generic set, Vegas trips all week, Vegas bumpers from the past Vegas remotes, no change in Bonus Round envelopes. However, there is a Cadillac worth around $45K. Pretty much Viva Las Vegas Part 2 but with a lot of money-themed puzzles.
You'd think with Price is Right copying your theme that you would try to one-up them. But alas, a season of budgeting.

Wow, that's...even less effort than usual, Wheel. I'm kinda stunned. Not in the "cheers and applause" way, but more in the "why did you even bother with this theme if that's what you're gonna do" way. That whole "$45,000 Cadillac" thing sounds closer to Price's Dream Car Week. Lemme guess: it's in the Bonus Round (probably two envelopes at the most), while the front game continues offering its $15,000-level cars. Oh, and the Vegas stuff is probably to remind viewers of a place where you're even less likely to win a lot of money.

I am more excited than ever to watch Wheel this week! This is the week that I was supposed to be on (had I not drawn number 6!) It will be so interesting to see how they edit all the episodes and so cool to watch on TV since I saw every game in person. Cheering on R & R week!!

I dunno if this has already been discussed and I'm just curious - will the Great American Cities weeks have their own stages or will they all be on the generic stage (and if so, dark or light)?

The Seattle week had a dark Seattle-themed set with a Space Needle replica, a train, and some model buildings (some of which were also used at the Season 30 NYC tapings). I assume the other two weeks will have appropriately-themed sets.

Since Denver is famous for its great outdoors, I wouldn't be surprised if the setting is the interior of a log cabin with the Rocky Mountains in the background.

The Seattle set I thought looked terrific from that picture. My only thought was that unlike Seattle, we here in Denver don't really have much of a "Space Needle" type structure... The Capitol building with the gold dome and Coors Field with the clock tower stick out to me as two of the more "iconic" look buildings of Denver, but we don't have much aside from those 2 that I can think of that are instantly recognizable. I do wonder if they are going to incorporate mountains into the set somehow.
ETA: I guess maybe the Elitch Gardens tower as well...

Yes, the Seattle set was so beautiful! The monorail/train even moved (and I believe they reshot an opening so that it would move as Pat and Vanna walked out). Also, (this is common I think) but expect a sports star or some landmark as a puzzle that would be very apparent to Denverites (Denvarians? Denvererers? ) but that would never be used on a regular show. Or maybe I just suck at sports knowledge.

You got the Denverites part right, Kevin, as well as anything sports related or a popular landmark in Denver, and for legal reasons, we're not using that leaf as a decoration, Flerbert!
