Today's shows taped for the week of December 7-11. No sixth show was taped. Theme is Secret Santa as mentioned above and the set looks really nice.

^ I take it you went to today's tapings? Can you confirm that the yellow wedge two clockwise of top dollar is $600 for R1,2,4+ and $900 only for R3? Any other sudden changes that we don't know about yet?

Unfortunately, yes. The $900 is only there for round three and then it goes back down to $600. As someone who's seen episodes with the original wheel, this arrangement doesn't look good. $600-$500-$550-$600 and $650-$600-$700-$600-$500 both look awkward and I wish they changed the orange $900 instead of one of the other two $900s.
Also, the prize wedge is on $800 for this week (probably because it was red).
There's a couple of other things that I'm still concerned about, but this should be enough for now.
(I'd be up for answering any other questions/talk about the taping, assuming it's not too spoilery.)

So no visible $800 wedges for Rounds 1 and 2, and only the orange $900 in the same two rounds. That looks even worse.

As Mario explained before, they have a $700-$900 (now $600)-$500 segment that is removed in R3 in order to place the Express wedge in the Wheel and, after it, they place a smaller segment, $900-$500. The most probable reason is that they are too lazy to make another little segment and they simply use the one that they have used since S30. |

What they should've done was change the orange $900 to $600 and left the yellow $900 alone. I've a feeling this is how it will eventually end up.

^Until they decide to repaint the yellow wedge that's attached to Express' hip. I like the yellow $900 and hope it doesn't change. I'm hoping they eventually change the orange $900 to $600 and keep the yellow $900 in all rounds.

Hmm...
It seems Fall Fun (10/19-23) hasn't taped yet. One of the next two tapings is known to be Winter Break on 9/25, and since they almost-always use the same basic set for every set of two tapings, that surely means that the 9/24 tapings are for another Winter-themed week, probably Home for the Holidays. This would mean that Fall Fun won't be taped until probably October 8 (9/30 or 10/1 at the earliest if they tape the week after the next tapings instead of the usual two weeks off), less than two weeks before it's supposed to air.

It's not so much the amount of money "offered" by the Wheel. It's how it's distributed. The $300-$900 layout they had before Season 32 offered more variety than the current one.

^ Exactly my thoughts. The layout now just looks odd. I like for the wheel to have different amounts spread out...not the same amount every other wedge.
