Interesting. So they didn't delay the June 6 episode (perhaps intentionally since it was a $100K loss?), but did make sure that LA got to see the season finale, even though Wheel doesn't like to acknowledge season finales anymore. Nice to know they have their priorities straight.

Wheel on NBC and ABC affiliates in the Mountain Time Zone may have been affected by a live Presidential announcement. Those two networks cut in around 6:46PM MT, putting their East Coast primetime shows on pause. CBS and FOX waited until the top of the hour to cut in. Normal programming resumed on all four networks around 7:20 MT.

Also tomorrow night, the Dolphins @ Falcons game will be airing on several stations in Florida, Georgia and Alabama. The only stations where Wheel is affected are WFTV in Orlando, which will be moving it to 10:00PM ET after the game, and WAFF in Huntsville, Alabama, which will not be airing the show at all.
There is also the Dallas Cowboys @ Houston Texans game, which affects Wheel on KTVT in Dallas and KTAL in Shreveport, Lousiana. The former is moving it to independent sister station KTXA. The latter is moving Wheel to 4:07AM CT.
WDAM in Hattiesburg, Mississippi is pre-empting Wheel tomorrow with the LA Rams @ New Orleans Saints game. Wheel will not be airing at all. |

Yet another pre-season Thursday Night Football game affecting Wheel tonight: Redskins @ Ravens is scheduled on several networks in the DC and Baltimore markets from 7:30-10:30PM ET.
Although WJLA, DC's ABC affiliate, airs Wheel at 7:00, they will be airing a pregame show at that time. Wheel and Jeopardy! will air after Millionaire at 1:37 and 2:07 AM, the timeslots normally occupied by the secondary airing of Millionaire and "Daytime Jeopardy!", respectively.
WBFF, Baltimore's FOX affiliate, will not be airing the pregame show, which means Jeopardy! is unaffected, but Wheel will be pre-empted by the game and is not scheduled to air at all.

KTEN in "Texoma" is pre-empting Wheel tonight with a local special on high school football. Wheel is not airing at all.
WTWO in Terre Haute, Indiana is airing the Colts @ Bengals game tonight from 7:00-10:00PM ET. WETM in Elmira, New York is airing the Bills @ Bears game tonight from 8:00-11:15PM ET with a Bills kickoff show at 7:30. Wheel is not airing at all on either station.

Thursday Night Football is making a small comeback next Thursday 9/6 on NBC (Falcons @ Eagles). As usual, the game starts a bit after 8 with a pregame show at 7:30PM ET.
This time around, many affiliates are not bothering with Wheel at all. The only ones that will actually be airing it that day are listed below. If you get Wheel on NBC and you don't see your affiliate listed, then it is either not airing it at all or it is not affected (only 7:00PM ET airings of Wheel are not impacted by TNF in most cases).

WTHR in Indianapolis normally airs Wheel at 7:00PM ET, but they will instead be replacing it with Jeopardy! on Thursday 9/6, and Wheel is not scheduled to air elsewhere.
WDIV in Detroit, which normally pulls the same tactic when Jeopardy!'s timeslot is pre-empted, will be keeping Wheel at its 7:00 timeslot, probably because both shows are in reruns. They have implied in the past that they only give J! priority over Wheel when it's in first-run.
KNSD in San Diego normally airs Wheel and J! in the 9:00PM hour. This time around, J! keeps its 9:30 time, but Wheel's 9:00 timeslot is being pre-empted by, of all things, a local special on elephants. 
Following this game, Thursday Night Football will be moving to FOX on most weeks starting 9/27, although it will make a one-time return to NBC next Thanksgiving. |

Season 35 is now officially off the airwaves for good. In terms of making up lost episodes since Summer 2018, we did pretty well. Wheel certainly made sure to make up all 12 episodes affected by the Winter Olympics. After Secret Santa, every episode that was pre-empted nationally or in a wide region or top market affiliate was reran, except for Day 5 of Beaches Resorts Family Week (03/23/18, affected by March Madness on CBS), and the two affected episodes of Season 35's Big Money week, which obviously were not going to rerun anyway because it was basically a Secret Santa Jr. However, the America's Game Best Friends episode (05/28/18, with the infamous WARP IN CINCINNATI flub) did end up getting pre-empted twice on West Coast NBC stations due to the Stanley Cup the first time and an NHL game the second time. Not too many of the football season episodes reran, mostly because Season 35's summer reruns only included two weeks from Sept-Dec 2017. Very lucky for us ABC viewers that they were able to get away with including the Christmas Day episode in the summer reruns because the week was Hawaii themed. This was probably one of the only times the summer reruns included a December 25 episode, and they don't usually get priority for Christmastime Saturday reruns the following year, either. Also, this is worth noting even though it happened over a year ago: according to game show buff David Downs, at least twice around Spring 2018, WDIV Detroit accidentally aired the Saturday rerun on Friday, inadvertently pre-empting Friday's episode for those weeks, and apparently not re-airing it to make up for the "mistake". One of these episodes that did not air in Detroit was 04/13/18 from America's Game IV - April/Brian ( woffreak82 )/Hannah. The episode reran on 11/24/18, however. |
