Some of the news media leaked what will happen on Jeopardy! tonight. I will not say anything.

The episode was placed on Dailymotion a couple hours before it aired in Montgomery, AL, which is the first city in the US to air Jeopardy each day, doing so at 10:30AMEST/9:30AM EST on the CBS station, right before TPIR(LMAD airs at 3PM on that station)

Well, it is confirmed that James lost to Emma Boettcher. I knew that he wouldn't break Ken's winning streak; but at best he would've BARELY surpassed Ken's regular-game winnings record. (even had he done so he wouldn't have become more famous than Ken). However, James was famous for becoming the second multimillionaire in regular-play in less time than it took Ken due to his aggressive wagering and going for the highest-value clues on the board first. And he also became the first and only player on Jeopardy! to win $100,000 or more in a single game, having accomplished the feat six times (including two games in which he broke the one-day record)
Before James' run, the most recent player I remember who used the Forrest Bounce was Arthur Chu, whose run lasted 11 games in January 2014. And then Roger Craig sometimes bet aggressively, like the day he set a then-new one-day record with $77,000 on his second appearance and especially during the ToC when he hit two Daily Doubles back-to-back and wagered all of his earnings and got the correct response each time.
Also, who knows if Emma Boettcher is going to lose her next match, just like Nancy Zerg did after she defeated Ken Jennings? I don't think we'll see another James Holzhauer or Ken Jennings at least for the remainder of Season 35 (unless Emma uses James' strategies tomorrow, which I doubt will happen).

Suppose there won't be any 5-game champs the rest of this season and the first part of next season, I suppose they would air a special tournament in which James is automatically in the finals and other former champions are brought back. Call it the Jeopardy! Holzhauer Challenge, or better, the Second Ultimate Tournament of Champions (though it would not last nearly as long as the UToC that took place in Season 21). The event would last from November 4-22, 2019, and there would be four rounds. First round would be seven matches with five wild card spots among non-winners, and the quarterfinals would be four matches. But because Brad Rutter and Ken Jennings would receive byes to the semifinals, there would not be any wild card spots among non-winners in the quarterfinals. Imagine if Ken and Brad won their semifinal matches, ending up facing James in the two-day finals, and we would have a matchup of the big three Jeopardy! greats. The winner would receive $500,000 while second place would receive $200,000 and third receives $100,000. I can imagine James winning it all because his strategy is different than that of Ken or Brad.

Upon finding out this was true, this sent my body into a bit of shock, and I couldn't concentrate as well at work today. It's normally the kind of reaction one should have to something that's actually harmful to oneself. I guess that shows how I got attached to the Holzhauer's run. I really wanted to see it happen. Still, I gotta congratulate Emma, an example of what a "giant killer" should be. That must be one of the highest scores specifically for a 1-day champion (excluding one-time specials such as Kids' Week or Celebrity J!). Boy, that was a fun ride. I hate to see it end.

Myrom Meyer in 2002 won $50K on day one, so Emma doesn't have the first day win record. DOnna Brown on 12/22/2017 whose win reran this past Saturday won $45,600. Kevin Frear in 1988 won $27,400, which under the current dollar values would be $54,800.

Still, I gotta congratulate Emma, an example of what a "giant killer" should be. My exact words! Talk about the epitome of "giant-killing"! I wonder if the nickname Nancy Zerg, Jr. would stick for Miss Boettcher?

I was especially shocked that tonight's episode was leaked in the first place. Other than Nancy Zerg defeating Ken Jennings and Emma beating James, no other "giant killer" episodes were leaked on the Internet or social media before their airdates (like when Scarlett Sims defeated Austin Rogers, Brian Loughnane beat Julia Collins, Victoria Groce defeating David Madden. As previously mentioned, those "giant killers" would go onto lose their next game, and that's why I think Emma will lose tomorrow.

^ This just made my day. BTW, I didn't want Mr. Holzhauer to lose. I was referring to the clip itself.

I am not going through all the recaps on here and J-Archive...
Does anyone know the most recent day where the winning score on Wheel was higher than the same day's J!?

I wonder if Jeopardy! will, instead of rerunning the first week of the November teen tourney or the first week of the Teacher's tourney, will instead run a week of the "best of Holzhauer shows"? There's another Teen tourney, taped in December, that is airing June 17-28. SUmmer reruns will most likely be the November teen tourney, Teacher's Tourney, and the ALl-Star Games(running both weeks of that is pretty likely).

^ They'll probably choose at least part of his run for next year's Saturday reruns. They usually consist of notable streaks, but they usually schedule them in such a way that it won't overlap with the time it would air on "Daytime Jeopardy!". Austin Rogers' run reran from 11/24/18-02/16/19, well after it aired on DJ! I don't think it would be possible to air James' entire run on Saturdays without overlap with DJ! If they started it at the start of the 2019-20 season, they still wouldn't be done with his run by the time they got to the first Saturday of April 2020, so they'll probably just choose the final 10 episodes or so if they put him in that rotation at all.

Be sure and watch tonight's episode, the first of the post-Holzhauer era, and see if Emma or any of the challengers use any of James' strategies like going for the higher value clues first, jumping around the board, or will they play like most contestants have done pre-Holzhauer (stick with one category going from top down). Also be sure and find out if Emma will become the first giant killer to win his/her next episode after defeating a super-champion, and if she'll go on a streak of her own.

The "giant killer" 1-day trend has been broken. Emma wins with a lock game, though she did get Final wrong.

Did Alex bring James onto the set at the beginning of the episode to acknowledge his success on the show like he did with Ken Jennings the day after Nancy Zerg defeated him?

Holzhauer was mentioned at the top of the show but was not brought onto the set.
