Holzhauer was mentioned at the top of the show but was not brought onto the set. That's a bummer because James was the second super-champion after Ken Jennings. Didn't he at least attend the tapings of this week's episodes after he lost? And wasn't he shown in the audience? If he had attended the taping for today's episode, then clearly Alex could've brought him onto the set at the beginning of the show.

I mean, when you asked your previous question on the J! Boards also, Robert K S stated "Nope, he watched from the audience, but no camera shots of him, either."
If TTTB intentionally chose not to bring James onto the set at the top of the show, that is fine. TTTB weren't obligated to do that with Ken Jennings, and they weren't obligated to do it with James either. Plus, I feel personally that it would conflict with Alex stating "we'll see him again, folks", which would imply that appearing on the show tomorrow would be the next time we see him instead of something like the ToC.

Tomorrow I'm rooting for someone to take down the giant killer, but at least she didn't use James' strategies tonight. In the Jeopardy! round she did start at the bottom, but unlike James, she didn't jump from category to category to the extent that he did; instead she would stick with whatever category she picked but work from the bottom up.

I'm kind of worried that if Emma and James face off in the ToCo, Emma would beat him again. That's why I'm hoping she loses tomorrow, so that she doesn't get guaranteed a spot in the ToC. And that's why I'm hoping the producers would also create a special tournament in which James automatically receives a bye to the finals where he could potentially face off against Ken and Brad, the other two Jeopardy! greats.

Regarding the leak, I think TPTB were upset about it because only they should get to spoil stuff in advance. If TTTB intentionally chose not to bring James onto the set at the top of the show, that is fine. TTTB weren't obligated to do that with Ken Jennings, and they weren't obligated to do it with James either. The cynical guy in me thinks James wasn't shown the next day due to him causing so much damage to both Jeopardy! and Wheel's prize budgets that once his run was done they wanted to give him as little on-air exposure as possible, whereas Ken took over twice as long (not to mention being spread across two seasons, so the prize budget got a refill) to get to the same amount of winnings.

Wasn't it Jeopardy's prize budget he did damage to, but perhaps it has carried over to Wheel, with them only having one bonus win in five or six weeks? But I'm sure James will be back for future tournaments of past players after his TofC.

Let's compare tape dates... Jeopardy! generally has a longer tape-to-air gap than Wheel does since Wheel tapes more episodes in a week and does it in whatever order they want. We know James' last episode taped March 12, which was after the upcoming Teen Tournament but before the Teachers Tournament which taped April 1-2. It is also known that show #8000 taped March 5 since the slate surfaced online. Jeopardy! usually tapes two weeks of shows in two days a week (Tue-Wed) every other week, much like Wheel (Thu-Fri), so the April 4 episode likely taped in January (perhaps January 9 if there was a consistent two-week pattern). Or if the Teen Tournament taped somewhere in between, James' shows may have started taping before the holiday break in December. Next door at Wheel, the first week to tape after the taping of James' defeat was the second Aulani Hawaii Vacation week, which taped March 14 and aired April 22-26 and May 28. The next day's tapings, Island Hopping, was the first taped and aired week that began the four-week losing streak. Rail Tour, which is airing now, taped in between Saving Big Money (show 7000) and America the Beautiful, but the four skunked weeks all aired in the same order taped aside from that. This also means that Wheel's losing streak likely goes on even longer by taping order than airing order, since the win on May 27 taped back on February 28. March 14 may have very well been the taping of the last Bonus Round win of Season 36 by taping order (and considering they had five more taping days after that... yeah...). Coincidentally, James' first episode aired during Delicious Destinations week, which went 0/5 and had two consecutive $100K losses. That week taped February 28, at which point at least half of James' run should have been taped. So if James really did kill Wheel's budget, they didn't start pulling the extreme damage control until just after he was finally out of the studio.

And when were the next taping dates after March 12-13 regarding regular games? All I know is the last episodes for Season 35 were taped on April 6, just two days after James' first episode aired.
The first week of shows for Season 36 will be taped on July 23, three days before Season 35 wraps up.

I don't know because they shuffled both Wheel and Jeopardy!'s schedules around likely to better accommodate Alex after his diagnosis. Both shows wrapped their current seasons earlier than originally planned.
Definitely wouldn't have been later than March 18-19 or 19-20. Two weeks after that would have been the Teachers Tournament tapings on April 1-2.

I ask because I saw a post on Reddit from March 28 where someone attended a Jeopardy! taping, and took a photo of the set during the lunch break. All I can remember from the photo is there was a guy standing at the reigning champion's lectern, and he looked kind of like James (but now we can confirm that it wasn't him because he had just lost).
More importantly however, the title said "I wanted to see a Jeopardy taping, and this afternoon I finally got to see it". And that's why I ask if there were any episodes taped on March 28.

^ I doubt that because Wheel taped on March 28, too. It takes them the whole afternoon and the shows share several staff members so I really don't think they would have taped both shows on the same day.

Regarding the leak, I think TPTB were upset about it because only they should get to spoil stuff in advance. Nobody batted an eye when a Jeopardy! fan Twitter account leaked a still of Wheel's third million dollar win several days before it aired.

Didn't Jeopardy tape on the 27th or 29th of March? And if it weren't for Alex's cancer diagnosis, when do Jeopardy tapings usually wrap up?

The season would have wrapped taping a few days later than April 6th otherwise. IIRC It was said on Jboard or the Jeopardy Fan website that a possible writers strike also changed some tape dates.

Didn't Jeopardy tape on the 27th or 29th of March? The 27th, maybe, but the 29th was when Wheel taped Rail Tour week, which is airing now.

The giant killer may have made history by winning her next two matches after dethroning James, but today she lost her fourth game.

I wonder if Jeopardy! will, instead of rerunning the first week of the November teen tourney or the first week of the Teacher's tourney, will instead run a week of the "best of Holzhauer shows"? There's another Teen tourney, taped in December, that is airing June 17-28. SUmmer reruns will most likely be the November teen tourney, Teacher's Tourney, and the ALl-Star Games(running both weeks of that is pretty likely). Oh, he's rerunning, all right. They're milking whatever they can still get out of James hype by immediately airing the weeks composing his entire run at the start of next season's Daytime Jeopardy!, the show's all-rerun secondary feed that several markets carry, in some cases in a double run with the first-run feed. The May Teachers Tournament in between will be skipped so that all his games air consecutively through late October. Only after the end of his defeat week (OAD June 7) will they then re-air the Season 35 premiere, with the remaining episodes mostly in order after that, except that the All-Star Games will be skipped, and the May Teachers Tournament will re-air in May 2020 for sweeps while the regular episodes "freeze" on March 2019, then once that month ends, they jump to June 10 onward.
