UFC went over by about two minutes. 7:00 PM PT airings of Wheel on ABC presumably lost TU1 and part of or all of the interviews. On the East Coast, a rerun of Shark Tank was JIP'd. On KGO, Jeopardy!'s rerun was JIP'd just as Mayim finished reading the third clue. Wheel may be JIP'd on KATU at 7:32 since they tend to run J! in its entirety when it follows network overruns.

Saturday's Wheel is pre-empted on WABC by "On the Red Carpet at CMA Fest" and will air Sunday at 5:00 AM Eastern. WABC is the only station I've found airing this in the prime access hour. All other ABC's airing this have it in random time slots on Saturday or Sunday, and a couple times on Localish in markets with O&O's. ABC is also airing a live UFC match from 8-10 ET/5-7 PT. If this runs over, West Coast airings of Wheel may be affected. And also again by the Destination NY on WTEN (at least) for 7/30 as well. |

All four networks cut in at 7:30 on the dot.
FOX signed off first at 7:41, then NBC at 7:43, then CBS at 7:44, then ABC at 7:45. WPVI cut to Wheel right before the Prize Puzzle copy.
WABC did not simulcast Wheel on Localish.

Wheel is pre-empted for Thursday, August 4 on all NBC affiliates for FNiA (Football Night in America) before an NFL Preseason game Reminder that this is tonight. Atlanta and Jacksonville will move Wheel to their sister stations as always (WXIA>WATL and WTLV>WJXX). WMTV Madison will move Wheel to their CW subchannel. KNSD San Diego has Wheel at 9 PM Pacific following local news after the game from 8-9. I believe their policy on post-sports newscasts is they must run for a minimum for 30 minutes, so overrun probably won't affect Wheel as long as the game is signed off by 8:30 PT. WVIR in Charlottesville, Virginia is airing Wheel early today, at 3 PM Eastern, replacing part of Dr. Phil. More potential NFL preseason pre-emption info coming soon. |

Game is currently on a weather delay as everyone at the game has seemed to seek shelter which very well could delay the start of the game and cause a huge overrun.

NBC did sign off shortly after the game was final so it does look like at worst Wheel will be JIP'ed on KNSD.

The game overran by about 38 minutes. This will likely affect most overnight airings of Wheel on the East Coast. Add an hour or the two shows after Wheel if you have to DVR it.

^ There was no NBC primetime last night, except maybe if the West Coast offered a rerun of Dateline or something as post-game primetime filler. The game was primetime for the East Coast.
Someone in Southwest Florida on Twitter last night said their NBC affiliate (had to be WBBH) was still airing Wheel at 7:00 ET. WBBH did have the pregame listed, though.

Another Buffalo Bills special is airing tonight on WIVB and WROC, once again pre-empting Wheel for what will be the fourth time in a span of two weeks, counting last Saturday. Wheel needs to get off the NY Nexstar stations fast. There will likely be more Bills specials on days on or before Bills' preseason games, which are scheduled for Saturday 8/13 (a postgame show that day will pre-empt Wheel regardless), Saturday 8/20, and Friday 8/26 (game starts at 7:00 so Wheel is pre-empted outright; special will likely air Wednesday or Thursday). Tonight's Wheel is also pre-empted on WLS Chicago by the second part of a two-part special on Chicago gun violence. The first part aired at 11:30 AM CT. |

They might not, but several will. Now that NFL preseason is underway, expect various pre-emptions around the country on game days. I looked up the entire preseason schedule and past Wheel pre-emptions for games. Obviously, it varies each year and each game, but based on existing relationships between affiliates and teams, I have compiled a list of what affiliates are most (or least) likely to air a game that would affect Wheel, mostly based on precedence. I have listed every team's home market Wheel affiliate even if they generally do not air that team's preseason games. Home affiliates are bolded. Red cells are confirmed pre-emptions. The other colors are the likelihood of Wheel being affected, with orange being most likely and blue being least, and gray being deconfirmed. If anyone knows of any other Wheel stations that often carry preseason games that aren't listed here, please let me know.  |

WTEN also serves Western Massachusetts, so sometimes they carry affairs such as debates. It looks like Wheel is okay on WTEN up until Saturday 8/20, where it will once again be pre-empted with an infomercial and will air at 11:35 PM ET.
As for NFL preseason in Albany, it looks like Thursday's Giants/Patriots game is being carried on WNYT (NBC), makes sense since the station probably serves fans of both teams. Friday's Jets/Eagles game is not being carried at all in the Albany market.
