In addition to the various stations that accidentally repeated #S-7848 tonight, the majority of #S-7849 was pre-empted on KHOU Houston for a tornado warning; they cut in during the red player's interview and coverage continued running into primetime.
Also, since the Buffalo Bills are in Thursday Night Football, Wheel was pre-empted by a Bills special on WIVB and WROC for the third time this season already (after 9/11 and 10/6). If they play on a Sunday, Wheel gets pre-empted the Friday prior.
All Mountain Time Zone affiliates correctly aired #S-7849.

Add WMBD Peoria, IL (CBS) to the list. They're the only ones to acknowledge the mistake so far. The makeup airing will be in place of an infomercial. All Pacific Time Zone airings of Wheel were the correct episode. |

#S-7693 from Season 40 joins the club of episodes that were pre-empted in several areas twice.
On its original air date, almost all Big Three 7:30 ET airings, 6:00 MT airings, and at least one 6:30 MT airing, were pre-empted by a special report. The only known exception was KTUL Tulsa (ABC). FOX airings were not affected.
It reran last Saturday, but all networks had sports. ABC and NBC had evening college football games, and CBS had college football until 7:00 ET. CBS's game, as almost-always overran to about 7:15-20 which meant some 7:30 airings were partially pre-empted by local newscasts if the station opted to run it for 30 minutes. On some other affiliates such as WBNS Columbus, Saturday Wheel is already pre-empted from the get-go during football season to make room for local newscasts after the game. WMAZ Macon is one of the only affiliates that aired this episode both times; they air Wheel at 7:00 on weekdays and 7:30 on Saturdays during football season, always in its entirety if college football ends by that time. KTUL airs WOF Weekend Sundays at 10:00 AM CT, so they got both airings just fine as well.
WABC did not make up the original airing. The rerun was scheduled Sunday at 4:30 AM ET instead of the usual 5:00, half an hour after the late-night movie, meaning Wheel would not have aired in its entirety if ABC's last college football game overran more than 30 minutes. Fortunately, it did not, so the full episode did air.

On days where CBS has an afternoon game but no evening game, all 7:00 PM ET airings on CBS affiliates not pre-empted by local news do not air in their entirety due to CBS's afternoon college football broadcasts almost always running past its scheduled 7:00 PM end, mainly due to postgame discussion. Some 7:30 PM ET/6:30 PM CT airings on CBS affiliates following local newscasts likewise do not air in their entirety due to overrun from college football causing local news to run a full 30 minutes before going to Wheel (e.g. WCCO Minneapolis). This varies depending on station. Some stations (e.g. KHOU Houston) do not run the news past 7:30/6:30c even if they start late. On October 21, the college football postgame ran until 7:30 exactly, so I used that opportunity to go through every CBS that carries Wheel at 7:30 ET to see which ones aired Wheel or news after the game. When college football runs past 7:00 ET (which it does 99% of the time because of the postgame), 7:30 airings are affected on the following CBS affiliates which prioritize a full (or almost-full) newscast over programming: WAKA - Montgomery, AL KFSM - Fort Smith, AR KHQA - Quincy, IL WCCO - Minneapolis, MN (O&O) KOLN - Lincoln, NE KFDM - Beaumont, TX KOAM - Joplin, MO (on 10/21, Wheel was JIP'd during the Speed-Up, suggesting they did 20 minutes of news) WWNY - Watertown, NY (J! Weekend is pre-empted by a delayed 6:00 newscast during football season) These ones also do it at least some of the time: WIBW - Topeka, KS KVEO-DT2 - Harlingen, TX On the few affiliates that still schedule J! at 7/6c on Saturdays with Wheel after it, instead of bumping one or both for news (e.g. WDJT Milwaukee), Wheel does air in its entirety and does not fall victim to J! being given a delayed start, like in half the Mountain Time Zone. This also impacts Wheel on WNEM in Flint, MI; they air Wheel at 7:30 on weekdays, but 7:00 on Saturdays year-round, paired with Investigate.TV at 7:30; they do not carry J! Weekend. Also, despite KTVT Dallas moving J! up to KTVT this season in place of its 6:00 newscast on weeknights, it seems both game shows now permanently air on KTXA on Saturdays. They now air a full 6:00 newscast on KTVT on Saturdays followed by a random special or infomercial at 6:30. Prior to this season, the Saturday 6:00 newscast would always have a hard stop at 6:27 to allow Wheel to air, though if college football ran to 6:30 CT exactly, Wheel would usually abruptly cut in during the interviews since they always start Wheel at 6:27. |

Rangers won in five games, so Wheel will not be affected on FOX on Friday. It was not going to be affected on Thursday regardless of the outcome.
Expect a Headline puzzle to some extent of "TEXAS RANGERS ARE WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!" sometime around January.

Several markets are pre-empted tonight for show #S-7858:
“On the Red Carpet at the CMA Awards” is tonight at 7:30 ET/PT on some ABC affiliates, namely all O&O’s and any that are owned by Nexstar (WTNH, WKRN, and KMID all have Wheel in that slot). ABC affiliates that are not owned by either (e.g. WFTV, KXTV) do not air this.
Due to this, KABC Los Angeles is airing #S-7858 through 7860 on a one-day delay. 7860 will air Saturday at 9:00 PM PT, though listings erroneously have it as a repeat of 7856.
WRIC Richmond is Nexstar and airs Wheel at 7:00. Listings suggest they are not replacing Wheel with J! tonight like they did on 9/11 and 9/18.
NBC also has the Republican Presidential Debate tonight live from 8-11 ET. All West Coast airings of Wheel are impacted, but most of them are scheduled in primetime after the debate. KNSD San Diego has Wheel at 9:00 PT. KKCO Grand Junction has Wheel overnight at 2:00 AM MT since they're opting for a rerun of Dateline after the debate.
Hope no contestants are affected by all this… (EDIT: Nope. All CBS folk tonight.)

Salt Lake City affiliate KJZZ, one of only two independent stations to carry Wheel (three if you count KTXA), recently struck a deal with Utah Jazz to air all of their games, including ones that are nationally aired on ESPN or TNT. All games are aired twice in a row, though the encore airing appears to be edited down, as the live airing is in a 2.5 hour time slot while the encore is only 2 hours, with postgame scheduled in between. In all, not counting pregame, Jazz coverage is 5 hours straight. The majority of the Jazz's home games start at 7:00 PM MT and do not affect Wheel, though 7:00 PM games do affect J! due to pregame. If only J! is impacted, that show moves an hour early to 5:30 PM MT right before Wheel. If both shows are impacted, they are moved to air immediately after the game's encore, which is 5 hours after the game's original start time. #S-7860 is impacted by tonight's game against the Memphis Grizzlies (6:00 PM MT start), with Wheel moved to 11:00 PM MT. WABC has a second airing of #S-7865 listed Saturday morning at 5:00 AM ET. This is likely an error and is meant to be #S-7741RR. J! right before it is also listed as its Friday episode. (EDIT: The rerun aired, as expected)
By the way, if you live on the East Coast, don't count on being able to watch Wheel on Black Friday, regardless of what network you watch on. More info coming soon.

#S-7741RR will air in its entirety on all East Coast CBS stations! (those that don't already pre-empt it for 6:00 news like WROC, WVNS, and WBNS) This never happens! The 3:30 college football game ended around 6:40 ET and the postgame show signed off in time for 7:00 programming to start on time! This is only the third time I've seen this happen on CBS in at least the past four years, though they've been better about game run times in general this season; I've only seen one game (two at the most) run to 7:30, and I don't believe any ran past that. A couple years ago, most of them would run to 7:30 and a few would even run to 8:00.

This week summed up. Unless you live in one of the three Pacific Time Zone CBS markets, you're not getting Wheel at its normal time and place at least once this week. If there's any good news, it's that Saturday Wheel returns to its normal time slot on most NBC affiliates starting this week.  |

In Jacksonville, Wheel normally moves to WJXX (ABC) when pre-empted on WTLV (NBC). Since that won't work on Friday because of football on both networks, #S-7870 will air on WTLV on Saturday at 7:00 PM ET, and #S-7725RR will air Sunday at 5:00 PM on WJXX. Both slots are well after any sporting events. TV listings and the station's website list both airings as the rerun.

#S-7868 is listed twice on WPVI Philadelphia on Zap2It and TV Passport, at 7:30 PM and 2:36 AM. This implied it would be pre-empted, but it's not; it's airing right now. Most likely an error (perhaps a leftover from the Wednesday O&O pre-emption two weeks ago), unless it's Monday's episode? The station website does not list the overnight airing.
