To the board moderator ,or ANY previous Real contestants : As ex contestant ( successful, I might add), would love to interact with other previous REALcontestants to exchange our experiences after having been on the show.
A transcript of the third of 3 shows I taped in 1995 is on this website, submitted by " mysterywedge " on dec. 11, 2011. Of course, to get to that point, I taped 2 shows before this one that allowed me to get to my impressive final total !!! Not bragging' of course.
So.. After 17 years, wheel is still my best highlight of life story, and would be happy to share with anyone who cares!!!

We want you to brag that you did well, like totals, puzzles, etc. Tell us more! This is actually going to be moved to Spinning Stories (our experience section), because it deals with your experience. Welcome aboard, I speak for all of us in that if you boast how much you won, you'll only look smarter in our eyes. Tell us more! EDIT: Looks like you're Steve, an UNDEFEATED champ (way to go!) champ who solved VILLAGE as your last BR, for an $87,416 total. Fantastic! Here is Kori's recap for those interested, BTW.

You're Steve Monk, I imagine? Welcome! ;D You're not only our first contestant member from a much older era of Wheel than our others here, but you were lucky enough to be a 3-day champion! Wow! Much congratulations to you! And you were on in Season 13, which happens to be my favorite Wheel season, and you were lucky enough to be on one of the few Season 13 episodes that circulates among collectors and traders today. It must have been an amazing experience, especially getting to be on three shows, now that it's currently "one and done". Being a big S13 (and classic Wheel) fan, I do have a few questions if you don't mind. First of all, about how long did it take for them to reload the puzzle board for the next puzzle? Second, the Double Play token is rather ambiguous to many Wheel fans today partially due to us not knowing much about its more technical rules since it usually doesn't see much action in the S13 episodes that survive publicly today. Was it used in any of your other episodes, and for anything good? Were you told what would happen if you used it and spun a prize or token? Finally, do you know if it was lost to Bankrupt (some recollections say no)? Also, did anything notable happen on your other episodes? Thanks for joining this site. It's such an honor to have a big winner from nearly 17 years ago sign up here. Don't forget to check out our other sections. I should also add that there are quite a few pending contestants for the upcoming seasons (hopefully including me. I auditioned less than two weeks ago and I'm still waiting for a letter).

Steve, welcome! ;D Now, you knew this was coming...do you remember any of the puzzles from your first two shows and/or have them on tape? I'd love to know for my site of puzzles.

Welcome, Steve, and great job on the show. I'm Daniel; basically what I do here is...well, I post. Okay, seriously -- I'm co-admin of the History Wiki (created by TenPoundHammer; I just help), where I pretty much use the standard journalism tactics of making stuff up research, careful study, cross-referencing, and some logic to figure out stuff...some of which is on Guint and TPH's puzzle websites. I'm also keeper(ish) of a freakishly huge video archive on said Wiki that I, Guint, and Gameshowguy2000 compiled from all around the internet (and if I haven't thanked you guys before for all your help, I'm thanking you now ). Speaking of videos, here's something fun: the 10/24/95 episode. Major thanks to the constantly-awesome Kingskip.

Hey Steve(wheeldoc), what bonus prize did you win on the October 20, 1995 episode you were on and/or what bonus prizes were on display on your first appearance on the October 20, 1995 episode and who was the returning champion going into that episode and were you on the same week as the Shannon/Stewart/Greg episode, which pretty much aired on the very same month?

Steve, if you're trying to respond to a user's questions in particular, maybe you should just type, for example, " MarioGS", " ivoryface86", etc. and ignore the quote button.

Sorry about the SNAFUs you guys, but I'm really a newbie at Boards. Otherwise i'm really quite sane! I just don't get it yet about posting REPLIES vs just posting, or targeting replies at particular members, or doesn't one do that? But i think I'm a fast learner, so everybody, please be patient with me & I'll try to answer everyone. Sooooo. On my Sept 20th (Friday) show, I knocked out the defending 2-day champ whose name was Becky, from Forney, Texas who had won $20 K ++ up to this air date. That week of shows, the $25000 wedge had been picked eith 2 or 3 times without a winner. Also the other BR prizes were a Matisse painting, a Spa+Gazebo package and a luxury trip to Tahiti + spending $$.
My Bonus round puzzle came up as follows: I picked C, P, M, and A---CATEGORY: THING
M ----- ----- ----- -----
A N S A E ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___
Of course, all you Wheel mavens out there will solve, as I did, for $25,000. Wife & 2 sons race onstage and all hell breaks loose .... OOH what a feelin !!!! But now the next tape date is 2 weeks away, so I have to fly my bunch and me back to NY for 2 weeks before returning to LA to tape show #2, and hopefully #3. To be continued !!~

OOOO... did it again... no matter how i typed, those letters wound up in the wrong place in the actual POST. To clarify --- two words ... first word - blank-blank-blank-M..... Second word was 9 letters... blank - A - N - blank - S - blank - A - blank - E .

Don't worry. We'll help you figure things out around here. It's best to use underscores when typing out puzzles, with spaces between everything: _ _ _ M _ A N _ S _ A _ E THING RSTLNE CPMA You sure you're not missing anything more in the first word? All I can think of is FIRM HANDSHAKE. You didn't get to tape your shows altogether? Wow. I guess that was one of the few downsides of having champions. We can't wait to hear more.

So, wheeldoc, tell Daniel(kingskip) that should you upload your full October 20 and October 23, 1995 appearances complete with fee plugs and closing credits(if it's the original airing, only the closing credits if they're GSN airings) then he should be able to post the first 2 shows of your incredible run on his RuTube account. Now let's go backwards slightly, on the same week, Shannon won the Land Rover and she returned on the next episode, but when Becky was there on the October 18, 1995 episode, was Shannon the returning champ on her first appearance, if she was then was it her 2nd or 3rd show of her run? Also, Greg was on in the last episode of the October 9-13, 1995 week of episodes, but what week did Vanna brought her son Nicholas to the set and the Winnebago was one of the bonus prizes on display wheeldoc?

Careful, ivoryface, let's not be over-demanding. We at the site would like to be warm and welcoming, not demanding; it could scare folks away.

Yikes!!!Ivory..... I don't have that much info...don't know anything about a Shannon... remember, I was only in studio for taping Oct. 16 - Oct 20. So, all I really remember is Becky"s run and all the lost opportunities at the $25 G. I never was there for Vanna's bringing her son in. Taping day is a total blur... hours of paperwork. must have signed 20 documents of privacy, secrecy, and counter terrorism.. ah the good old days./.. but the contestant security was amazing...bathroom breaks were accompanied !!! couldn't talk to a single soul... even the bagels were inspected for secret messages !!! just kidding.
Also, to change subjects// I have the complete 3-show DVD minus commercials but I think the closing credits are all there.. Remeber, I originally recorded my shows on VHS, and only 5 years ago converted those to DVD, so the quality is certainly not HD, but pretty damn good! When I download the ripping software and get everything onto my hard drive, I'll let the Board know and someone can guide me in uploading to U-tube or wherever ! OK ??

Also, yeah... I mistakenly left the "R" off the first letter in my puzzle and it was FIRM HANDSHAKE.!!!
