Also, the WiiU doesn't do two-tablet gameplay yet, so you'd have to pass the pad back and forth like it's an NES game.

Oh, yes. I forgot to mention that there would be the "Pass & Play" option where one-third of the touch screen would act as each player's Toss Up buzzer, if the players chose to have them (I always thought they should be optional), and each player would use the Gamepad. And of course, there would be a display option to display the game as it does for real (better for spectators not playing).

Oh, boy. Here's what I'm thinking right now. It's GameTek more than 15 years later. If there's one video game series I think of when it comes to THQ besides Wheel of fortune, it's the Sonic Advance series.

The mystery of the retro references has finally been revealed. It's for DLC that has now been released on PS3 for $3.49.

Didn't see any listings of a 360 release on this just yet.

Today hasn't been the best day for me, but I think the 80's pack has helped cheer me up a bit. I'm updating my PS3 software as I'm typing this. I need to in order to download the pack, but I'll let you know how it is ASAP.

It's now available on the 360 as well, but for 400 MSP ($5).
As for Wii U, I'm not going to count on anything...

Wow! An 80s theme? I'm shocked that they would do something like this! Can't wait to get my hands on this!

I bought the new 80's pack and I do like the set, but there's a few things I don't like about it...
First, the prize turntable looks like something from Bedrock. Second, the wheel is missing a layer. Third, they should've at least put in the eggcrate scoreboards. And, finally, the puzzleboard. They should've added the trilons instead of leaving it the way it is.
Overall, I give the set 3/5.

So the board is still the same? It doesn't have the gold arches?
What about the Wheel layout? Is it still the same?
I imagine the music is still current as well?

I didn't want to spoil it, but yeah, I was quite disappointed when I saw the layout stayed the same. At the same time, however, Sony is taking a step in the right direction. I remember back in 2010, when the Wii version was in production, Sony wanted to keep things for Wheel as modern as possible. I can imagine that within the next week, Sony will be taking that wish back. They've got the sets taken care of. Hopefully, they'll make some changes to the Wheel layout. Once they do, I can imagine money coming into them from every direction. Up, down, left, right, forwards, backwards. YEUH! ;D

I bought the 80's set today
The border on the puzzle board looks a little different than the actual set. I can see the triangle on top of the puzzle board. The top part was cut off. The green stand should stretch a little to hold the entire puzzle border. I can see lightbulbs on the bottom of the puzzle board. The actual show didn't have one. I wish they animate the lightbulbs. When I solved the puzzle, I can see some unwanted colors on the lightbulb. I see lots of green, but I see a few white in it.
The podiums that I find very creative. When a player gets a turn, the backdrop lights up.
I really like the 80's set, but there are some few things that needs work. I hope Pipeworks can work on various eras. I personally like the late 80's with the chevrons. When a car is won, I hope they have a wheel turnable. I look forward to future updates.

Can someone post a video of the '80s set in use when they get the chance, please? Thanks.

I see Take Two is listed on there. Apparently they re-acquired some of GameTek's licenses when they folded. I'm just hoping anybody gets the rights from this, but if it is Ubisoft, they better not let Ludia develop the next games... (Are they still even making console games? All they've put out recently are Facebook and iOS games.)
