Or maybe it moved. We were told that there was a format change...perhaps they swapped the Prize Puzzle and the Jackpot Round. Which is fine by me. Having the Prize Puzzle in R1 gives the other players more chance to catch up from it...and the Jackpot belongs in R3.  |

I don't mind the new logo. I'm also pretty indifferent about the Gift Tags. As for the Million Dollar Wedge, it always looked awkward on the orange $800. It looked better when it was on the $550 those two times. For it to be on the pink $500, however, I don't mind that either, and I'll betcha right now you'll now get $500 as well for picking the Wedge up. Finally, I'm glad to know $650 is still present. I was worried it was going to be a one-time gig.
Now will $750 and $850 appear in the wedges I can't see in that one photograph? I'm sure we'll find out soon, but the answer no doubt looks bleak. Now for the $2500 and the red $700 to be on the same layout, I think I know where they're going when it comes to the structure for the first three rounds, but I do hope the Jackpot wedge will be on the blue $300 rather right next to it as that too looked awkward. If they change the look and color for the Jackpot wedge (maybe even adding a screen to it in the process), then I may not mind about its location. |

I like the new logo, it kinda remind me of 80s opening, where the show starts with overhead shot of wheel with the logo. It suck that nothing really change for the 2003 wheel border set and puzzleboard, while Jeopardy is maybe getting the new set since 09. But do you think they have a new theme music for a new season?

That would have to mean that the orange $800 is now $500, which could mean $500 next to $550, which is ugly, though that wedge is cut off in the picture...
And I have updated my logo to have the right colors in the background. I edited it into the original post.

Now that the MDW is on the pink $500 (assuming it's still that), I'd imagine they're introducing $500 per consonant for it... which doesn't feel right to me. That and it's too close to the other Bankrupt.
Doesn't make sense to put the Gift Tag on the orange $800. If they are giving $500 a consonant for the MDW, they could've easily kept the MDW where it was and slashed the $800 down to $500, not needing to move the Gift Tag.

It was probably best for the Jackpot to go... I liked the wedge, but not in Round 1. Hopefully Round 1 will be normal again.

$550 has been changed and is now the Gift Tag's new location. It is very likely $500 now.  The only question that remains concerning amounts is what's under the MDW now. Is the pink wedge still $500? $550? Maybe even $750?

Wow, I thought for sure there would be something between GT and WC, but no? If it's really barren in R1 & R3, I don't know what to say. R1 right now has no distinguishing feature, just like R3 (nope, not including PP)? Can that really be?
I suppose one minor upside is that both 800s are fully visible all the time now, to go with the 900s. If MDW still makes consonants waste, I can live with it being $550. (If $550 is gone, WTF. We already have about the max of $500s.)
This new feature isn't going to replace Jackpot adequately for a hardcore fan, but I really hope it's something good to mitigate the loss.
EDIT: And it also introduces two purple $500s, which will be annoying for my tracking. :-P

Can we please lay off this "omg Harry's so evil he wants to spend as little as possible and is mad that the million was won" nonsense? It, along with the similar ranting about Mike Richards on another site, is the most ludicrous nonsense there is. Why would any producer actively be angry that somebody won a big prize...especially one that's likely covered by insurance? Calm down. It's not worth it. There's substantial evidence it wasn't covered by insurance with NYC. Unless four 100k wins necessitates barely any easy BRs for 4 weeks, which I doubt. Dang, Wheel, enough with the $500s! There's way too freaking many now! Change a couple (at least 1) to $750 and change the purple-now Gift Tag location-$500 back to $550! If we're going to do cardboard not being wasteful, we do need consistency across the board, and $500 is a good number. |

Lots of $500s, yeah. At least the Million Dollar Wedge is potentially covering a smaller amount. Now if it is $500 for some reason, it doesn't mean that $550 will be gone for good. Think about happened with $700 in season 29. If $550 is indeed the value under there, it'd be nice to see $550 in a new color.
In 1974, it was light tan. When it came back in 1979 replacing $650, it was blue. When the color scheme was changed in 1986, it became purple. It's been purple longer than I have been alive. I'd rather see it in a new color than have the Million Dollar Wedge offer $500, especially since it will possibly no longer cover a large value. I could still be wrong about $550 being pink. Apart from $500, it could be anything, even $750 or $850. |
