Looks like it's being placed near the MDW's old home. Any accuracy behind that yet?

We can confirm that it's on the red $700, Jackpot's old home.

Let's see...I know the Express Wedge can be used to buy vowels (was stated earlier in this thread), but can you use the Wild Card on it? As in, can you decline the Express but use the Wild Card for another $1,000 consonant? I would imagine so, considering the official rules say you can use the Wild Card after a Free Play (but only for a $500 consonant) and after declining the Mystery Wedge (but you don't get a second decision to flip it over, of course). I doubt anyone would ever do that, but I don't see why it's impossible. And I would guess if it did happen, they wouldn't be given a second option to go for the Express and had to take another normal turn. I actually asked our source this and they said they don't know. They didn't even know for sure if you were allowed to use the card on anything other than the top value. They meant to ask about it (in case they ever thought there would be a good opportunity to use it on $900), but forgot. No, I actually meant can you use the Wild Card on the Express to build your total (the function of this wedge)? Because I remember the Wild Card was used on the Big Money Wedge in the 25th season, was it not?

Oh, in that case, probably not, but why would you? This wedge is essentially infinite Wild Cards on $1,000 until you solve or mess up.
And the Wild Card was only usable on the Big Money Wedge early in the season. They eventually abolished that rule and it only became usable on the regular $1,000 (probably because once someone actually used it on $7,500, they panicked at the possiblity of someone using it on the $25,000, which admittedly sounded way too unfair).

Here's another picture with Express, but again, you can't make out anything of it. -_- And again, it's just put there so that the contestants can practice with it during rehearsals. It won't be on the Wheel for R1 in actual games.

Well hey isn't that at least the best view of the new logo we've gotten so far? Albeit not the full logo still but still

I'm looking at the bottom-right photo MarioGS, and I see something strange. I see what looks to be the round 3 Wheel. There's no Prize wedge (I see the purple $500 instead of a Prize wedge on top of it), but there is the Express wedge. If that's the case, what is the $2500 space doing on the round 3 Wheel? I see blue instead of magenta between the Bankrupt and the green $500 with the Wild Card!
Either that's just some odd promo shot, or there's a new top dollar value! Even so, I'm guessing the former.

I think that's a practice wheel that the contestants practice on before the show.

Yes. At the start of each taping day, all of that day's contestants play rehearsal rounds with contestant coordinators standing it for Pat and Vanna. They do this in the middle of setting up the Wheel for the first show. They put the 1/2 Car tags, MDW, and Wild Card on first (and Jackpot until now), then they would play the games (and they would stop the Wheel early or move it so they don't have to pick up any cardboard only to have to put it back later), then they put the Prize wedge and Gift Tag on and set it to $2500 and the Wheel is ready to go.
I can confirm that they're using Express in these rehearsal games, so they only put it on for those and then take it off as they put the finishing touches on the R1 Wheel. It's still R3-only and top dollar values are still the same.

This is what I have for Express's look now based on Rory's details and a bit of details from Julie (dreamoffields), though other details from her conflict with Rory's account and the picture on page 12. Apparently, they may be using a differently designed wedge for the rehearsal games.

Mario, add one more streak and you have it. I counted four in total during the first three "Taste of the Good Life" games. It was the same for the Valentine's Day shows I saw, but it was hard enough craning my neck to see what was going on the stage where we were sitting, despite the large screens at both sides of the stage. And even then the Express wedge moved by too fast to really notice four. But now I see that it's four.
Other than that, you've got it!

Is the color, right, too? Julie said it was a gradient of dark blue and aqua, though it looks purple in the actual picture, so I made the middle a bit more purplish.
And is the font for "EXPRESS" close?

And is the font for "EXPRESS" close? Julie's got it. The lettering is a little sharper than that, but I can't quite describe it properly. But I think that'll suffice until the season premiere. Also, the Bonus Wheel is dark blue, purple, and slightly greenish and it looks at first like someone forgot to hook it up to the electrical supply. And as mentioned, the wedge chosen turns light blue after the prize envelope is plucked.

So is the gradient right or is there pretty much no purple at all in it and it needs to be more blue?
"Sharper" as in more of a serif font, or more fancy-looking?

It's more sky blue than anything. You're asking the wrong person about fonts, man. Weird, since I use Microsoft Word all the time, but I stick to Times New Roman for pretty much everything. But looking at the wheel in this thread, it looks exactly like "Bankrupt" does.

I'll assume it's Clarendon, then. I'd use Chesterfield, but that font's really only used on fanmade Wheels these days, plus the actual "Bankrupt" font has never been used to display any other letters in recent years. This is what I have now. I'm guessing this will be the closest we'll have until we see a very clear image of it (probably not until the season premiere or the weekly promo for that week if we're lucky).

There's a lot I've been curious about regarding fonts. I myself am a font enthusiast, so I'd be a good person to talk to (just ask wheelgenius and germanname1990, I'm always bugging them about fonts). BTW, will the site's masthead be updated?
