I'll assume it's Clarendon, then. I'd use Chesterfield, but that font's really only used on fanmade Wheels these days, plus the actual "Bankrupt" font has never been used to display any other letters in recent years. This is what I have now. I'm guessing this will be the closest we'll have until we see a very clear image of it (probably not until the season premiere or the weekly promo for that week if we're lucky). Are you sure the Express Wedge is really supposed to be that dark? If so, that looks great!

We're not sure because we haven't seen a good image of it yet.

It's certainly brighter than the Bonus Wheel this upcoming season.

It's certainly brighter than the Bonus Wheel this upcoming season. How do you know what the bonus wheel looks like?

He was in the audience for five episodes taped in Vegas.

Not sure if this has already been asked before, but with the Express wedge, if you solve incorrectly, do you just lose your turn or do you also go Bankrupt too?

That's a real good question, but for an incorrect solve, I'd think yeah, you would probably lose the money instantly.

Yeah, based on what's been revealed so far, hopping on the Express basically means "This will end in you winning or going Bankrupt."
Here's a funny thing I just realized -- since vowels still cost $250 and you go Bankrupt immediately after making a mistake (wrong letter/wrong solve/buzz-out), buying an incorrect vowel should leave you with -$250. That'd be refreshing, not to mention something that hasn't been used in about 38 years.

Just curious, Dan... in your post above, what do you mean by a buzz-out?

Taking too long to make a decision ("Buy/spin/solve?", picking a letter, or trying to solve). Wheel, unlike Drew Carey, does not give players unlimited time to make decisions during the untimed portions of the show...mainly because on Wheel, nothing related to the gameplay is untimed (although I still have no idea how they determine when to sound the Final Spin chimes).
I think the timer for contestants to make decisions is displayed on the Used Letter Board.

They remove the $250 first, THEN wipe out your score.

Except that method doesn't make much sense -- if the vowel's wrong, just wipe out the score and consider the $250 as part of that...unless they take out the money, check to see if it's right, and then follow through.

Doesn't it seem kinda OP to have Express during the PP?

Assuming "OP" means "overpowering", then yes, it does.

Yeah that's exactly what I meant. Since people solve PP so early anyways if they hit the express they can just fill in the entire puzzle and THEN get the prize....... what the hell are they thinking?

Like Free Play... brightness issue. On the whole it's good, but the blue in the middle of the 0s comes off too bright.
It also sure looks like Express will be centered to start R3 (which bugs me a lot, but I understand is a minor issue).

It looks as if the Express font is Gill Sans Ultra Bold. BTW, it also looks like the Indiana Jones title somehow.

Aaaand not surprisingly, this picture got on the History Wiki. As for the Express wedge itself...is it bad when the wedge when it's deactivated looks miles better than when it's lit? And when the wedge looks better when Mario was making his own approximations ( #2, #3, #4; the original approximation was here) based on recollections and the aforementioned deactivated shot? In fairness, it's possible that Express had a different design when the season began taping, or may even switch between designs for some reason.
