Big Bank / a BANKRUPT accumulator to be reclaimed would be too expensive for the show, IMO

I think that's ridiculous. Contestants play on Wheel of Fortune to make money, and if Whammy had Big Bank in Season 2, Wheel of Fortune can have a Big Bank, too. Doesn't it hurt all these years seeing contestants land on Bankrupt, especially if they lose so much. Need I remind you what happened on April 21, 2010, when a contestant lost $30,600 to Bankrupt? With Big Bank, a contestant could get $30,600 back that simply.

I have to disagree with the idea of a VAULT wedge. Imagine your opponent hitting the Vault with about $55K of stuff, then winning the round. It's almost impossible to make a comeback, especially if that player made even more in previous rounds! The wedge might as well be called Salami & Cheese.
Given the money WOF makes ($90mil/year I think?), the show could theoretically support the idea of a Vault wedge, but it seems like it plays WAY too much of a deciding factor during the maingame. Plus, it also defeats the purpose of having a Bankrupt anyways.

I know the most the show has ever given away to its players in one season was just over $10 million (and Pat makes no less than $6 million a year), but the show makes $90 million? Where'd you learn that?
The reason why I was unhappy with the idea of a Vault wedge was because of worry about how much the show makes. As for having it be a deciding factor, that's why I'd make it a Round 4 element so it would be easier to catch up to someone with a lead that seems impossible to overcome. Or would it? Because if no Bankrupts are hit throughout the game, landing on Vault would be pointless, even if it had a minimum of a couple thousand or so.
I'm just trying to weigh options than just come to a decision, but overall, I don't think Vault/Big Bank would be a good idea.

Contestants play on Wheel of Fortune to make money, and if Whammy had Big Bank in Season 2, Wheel of Fortune can have a Big Bank, too. Big Bank was a good concept, but it ground the pacing to a halt (much like taking a commercial break during Round 3 did, because apparently putting it after the game ended would've caused everybody to tune out) to ask the question. The problem was that the Big Bank didn't rely on luck and could cause a huge swing in the scores depending on how the game had gone. Doesn't it hurt all these years seeing contestants land on Bankrupt, especially if they lose so much. Need I remind you what happened on April 21, 2010, when a contestant lost $30,600 to Bankrupt? Of course it was painful to see, much like seeing someone with a big score hitting a Devil/Whammy in the Second Chance franchise. But really...that's kinda the point, which they kinda missed by adding Big Bank. With Big Bank, a contestant could get $30,600 back that simply. Sure, but adding a Big Bank to Wheel would result in magnified versions of the problems it caused on Whammy!. The main issue is that since the former has a time-based gameplay limit (whereas the latter keeps going so long as players get extra spins and avoid the Whammies), even having it exclusive to Rounds 4+ could cause problems -- if it's won for a lot, you might as well end the game right there because the Speed-Up's likely gonna be low on consonants and Pat isn't exactly able to reach $5,000 as often as he used to. And even all of that aside...it's really not a good way to add money or excitement to Wheel. While sure, most of the money-related changes for Season 32 don't make much sense, they won't be a looming budget nightmare (albeit a resetting-to-minimum-after-each-show one) like Big Bank would.

Where'd you learn that? I was kind of hoping someone would correct me on that. I can't remember where I heard it from, but I've always thought the show made $90mil. Given the numbers you game ($10mil winnings, Pat's $6mil salary) $90mil doesn't sound like too far of a stretch.

Is anyone actually surprised that $500 is, for now, the minimum value on the Wheel? I'm not surprised that $300 has been retired, I've actually wanted that to happen back in Season 30, but since then, I've been wanting $350 to become the minimum value. The changes made to the layout in S32 remind me of the changes in S17, where only amounts under a new minimum were changed to an amount above.
S17
Purple $250 > $600 Orange $250 > $800 Golden $250 > $500
Now in S32,
Pink $450 > $650 Orange $300 > $900 Blue $300 > $600 Yellow $400 > $700 Blue $350 > $550

Yeah, the minimum HAS to be $500... At the time when we only saw the part of the layout from the red $700 to the pink $900, the minimum DIDN'T necessarily HAVE to be $500. My earlier speculation was that the pink $450 was unchanged and the orange $300 was gonna be changed to $400.

Well, when I was in the audience for a few shows, Jim Thornton himself said the show makes $90M a year, so...

For Season 33, here is my ideas:
Pink $900 --> $900 Green $500 --> $750 Blue $550 --> $550 Red $600 --> $600 Pink $500 --> $500 (WC moves to here) Yellow $700 --> $700 Purple $500 --> $500 Orange $800 --> $800 Blue $600 --> $600 Red $700 --> $850 Yellow $900 --> $1,250 Green $500 --> $0 (MDW moves to here) Top Dollar (TDV in Round 3 increases to a sparkly dark purple $4000) Bankrupt Orange $900 --> $900 Green $500 --> $500 Pink $650 --> $650 Purple $500 --> $950 Red $800 --> $800 Lose A Turn Blue $700 --> $700 Free Play (It will be replaced by a yellow $1,000 wedge in Round 4, to lower the chance of Pat hitting the non-cash amount) Purple $650 --> $1,500 Bankrupt
The Mystery Round moves to Round 1 and Express to Round 2. Round 3 is still a Prize Puzzle, but due to budget, the contestant must solve the puzzle less than 60% revealed.
Both Half Car tags will be replaced by a Car wedge, surrounded by green $500 wedges. To get the car, the contestant must land on the middle of this wedge, call a correct letter, then solve without hitting Bankrupt. Due to budget, it will be retired if claimed but not won. The "per consonant" bonus for claiming this wedge is $500. It is placed on the green $500.
Due to budget, the Prize wedge will be retired.
Vowels will be finally raised to $500.
One Mystery Wedge on the blue $600 moves to the pink $900, due to budget.

One Mystery Wedge on the blue $600 moves to the pink $900, due to budget. Budget, schmudget. You make these kinds of changes, you're tampering with how much money a contestant can win. Do you hear all those people shouting "BIG MONEY! BIG MONEY!" It's a game show, not a grocery store. Besides, the Wheel prize has been present on the nighttime show since 1983. No way it's ever going to be retired. Finally, if you move the Mystery Wedge from the blue $600 to said pink $900, the other one would only be four wedges away.
