Just called Pressmen up, and I got some info about the 4th Edition. It's still sketchy, but here's what I was told.
New puzzles (obvious) New colors (I don't know if that pertains to the Wheel, plastic pieces, or what not.) As for the release date, it will be at some point this summer.

I'm really looking forward to this edition! I hope I'm not getting my hopes up too high just so they'll fall hard and crash when this finally does come out.

As many times as this has been delayed, it better come complete with LED lights and a bonus round wheel.

Even before finding out about the delay, I've been having thoughts about this being another unreleased title. Either it'll become that or they're simply busy trying to come up with ways to overhaul the puzzle board, Wheel, game pieces, and what not, but we'll see.

My question is what kinks??? How hard is it to make a Wheel of Fortune board game. Are they finding it hard to make a $269 bill useful or something?

Ooh, the box is nice. Now to see if the contents are any different. It isn't officially out until next Friday.

Next Friday meaning September 9th? Awesome! Hopefully, we'll find out more by then. At least we got the boxart.

Ah, does that mean they're going to have those new Crossword-type puzzles now?
Anyway, I was predicting the boxart to have the Season 32 logo pretty much from the day it was announced last year, but I wasn't expecting the Puzzle Board as well, let alone giving the objective of spinning, solving and winning that has been printed on most if not all of their previous game. That was a cool move on Pressman's part.

Doing a little sneaking around online, I found a copy of the Pressman 2016 catalog and it shows "Wheel" on page 13. issuu.com/lauramcmanemin/docs/pressmancatalog_emailIt looks as though they are using the new set, but sadly, it still is using the season 21 layout. There seems to be a "Free Play" token in lieu of the "Free Spin". Any other thoughts on this?

I think it's pretty damn lazy to update the artwork, but have the Wheel still be a decade out-of-date, complete with the Free Spin still being there. Oh, and looking at the photo again I see the cardboard border for the puzzle board still has the actual puzzle board in the reflection off the studio floor. Maybe this is all just for the mockup photo here (there's a note of "Artwork pending licensor approval", so this isn't guaranteed to be what they'll release), but still... Good lord, Pressman, this is your first "main" Wheel game in seven years (the 3rd Edition was released in 2009); get your act together!

The tokens saying "Free Play" but Free Spin still being on the spinner card makes absolutely no sense. I sure hope that's not what the final product will look like. If anything, perhaps the layout will be more up to date, but with Free Play using the rules of Free Spin. Still odd, though, because using FP's actual rules saves the expense of having to include tokens with the game.

I was thinking the same thing too, MarioGS . Free Play, using the actual rules of the show, would've saved a bunch of cardboard. At the same time, having Free Play act as a Free Spin space gives it an interesting double role. If you want Free Play to act like Free Spin, go for it. If you want it to act like Free Play, go for that too. That's the nice thing about board games. Despite the instruction booklet giving the "recommended" rules, you can customize gameplay a lot easier in a board game than in a video game. By the way, I checked Kmart's website on mobile the other day, and it stated that the game will be out on Thursday. If I'm not working on Thursday (chances are I won't), I'll head over to Kmart and get it, let you guys know what it really has, and then give you my recommendation, that is unless anyone else wants to volunteer.
