The tokens saying "Free Play" but Free Spin still being on the spinner card makes absolutely no sense. I sure hope that's not what the final product will look like. If anything, perhaps the layout will be more up to date, but with Free Play using the rules of Free Spin. Still odd, though, because using FP's actual rules saves the expense of having to include tokens with the game. Yes, the artwork in the booklet has yet to be approved so I have no doubt that what we've seen is not the final concept. If that's not the case and the artwork is still the same (groan), would you put a new layout over the spinner?

I wouldn't even bother with the spinner card. I'd probably just use the SpinnyWheel app, plus I usually just use a pad and pen to keep score instead of the paper money. Of course, if you have a homemade Wheel replica, you could just use that as well.

Or make custom layouts for your Deluxe spinners like I've been doing. I want to get back to doing those sometime.

I went to Kmart earlier today, and I didn't see it there. So I asked a worker about it, and showed him the game on Kmart's website via my phone. Then, I saw this date that was September 8 a few days ago change to September 12, and I'm like, "What's all this? Why did they change the date?" He goes, "Oh, that's if you order it online to have it arrive at the store. That's the date you can pick it up at the store." He then told me to go to the customer service desk to order it, and the ladies at the desk were really nice helping me out ordering this online. So, I paid for the game at the desk, and it should hopefully be at the Kmart by Monday since I'm not working on Monday. I'll get an e-mail notification when it arrives. After that, I'll pick the game up and let you all know.
By the way, just a tidbit. Pressman's 3rd Edition of Wheel was there (the 2014 re-release) along with Outset's new Jeopardy! game (the regular edition). Since they have this graphic thing on the bottom left of the boxart saying how many people can play as well as the age recommendation, I've been starting to think that Pressman is still making the Wheel of Fortune games while giving the rights to Jeopardy! up to Outset.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, everyone. I went to pick up the game at Kmart earlier today. The package stated that I ordered the 4th Edition, and I asked this lady that I was allowed to return it if it was the 3rd Edition. The lady said I could within 30 days. Sure enough, I come home, and I open up the package, and it is the 2014 re-release of the 3rd Edition. So I'm going to send it back as early as Thursday.
My advice to everyone at this point is to not order the 4th Edition online in case stores confuse it for the 3rd Edition. If you see the 4th Edition physically at a store like Toys R Us or Target, then buy it via the checkout counter.

My local KMart doesn't have it yet. They still have two copies of the 3rd Edition on the shelf, next to new J! game and Celebrity Name Game.

I've been thinking about this since getting the game at Kmart on Monday. What if Pressman is indeed right and the game won't be out until next year? All the images of the 4th Edition we've seen so far may simply be prototype images.

If need be, I can keep an eye open at my local Kmart. And for that matter the specialty store on my block ("Toy Town", usually carries a decent selection of games, including Wheel and Jeopardy). Good idea to do that or nix it?

Go for it. I'm keeping my eyes peeled myself but not counting on much at this point. Again, I wouldn't reply until more information about the game is known or someone here gets a copy.

Good point on the not replying bit. I'll keep my eyes peeled at Kmart and Toy Town, and here for new info. Speaking of layouts, I tried doing a paper layout for the spinner I have in my WoF set and it ended up as a lone $1000 wedge, but I guess that's a start.
Back to the board game: at least they may be attempting to bring in Free Play for once, granted I wouldn't be too surprised if beyond that it's just another 96 puzzles plus re-skinning the previous version. If they do a Deluxe Edition, maybe they'll have the chance to do proper add on wedges, like with the one from the '80s, or the Australian version?

Update from my end: Toy Town only had an old edition of Jeopardy, unfortunately. I'll check Kmart and Target another day, too much else going on right now.

^I hope not...that wheel is from years gone by.
Although, that is probably my favorite wheel color scheme. I liked the wheel better without the blue wedges.

^I hope not...that wheel is from years gone by. It's still possible this isn't the final design, given it seems to be identical to the one seen in that picture posted a couple months ago. Sure, I'm not a fan of the current Wheel layout because there isn't much variety, but still... (It'd also be nice if Pressman adapted the Bonus Round, if not the Wheel extras/Prize Puzzle/Toss-Ups.)

Well, at least we know it's out (in at least some places) since those photos look like they were taken with a home camera. As for the contents on the back of the box, it's likely the very same as that one "prototype" photo on the Target listing. So, I wouldn't give up all hope on the Wheel layout just yet, tlc38tlc38 .
