I read the fine print and I decided to enter this week. If I win, I'll ask before accepting the prize. The worst they can say is no and I'll forfeit the prize pack.

Sorry for the double post, but I can't seem to edit the post above. It turns out I WON the ABC contest.  When I called to confirm, I specifically said to the woman that I didn't see anything in the fine print, but that if it effected my chance of being on the show, I wouldn't accept the prize. She said I'd be fine and that the Philly contestants were already selected. I mentioned that I know other people that auditioned here but hadn't heard about filming dates yet and about the letter stating two weeks notice and she responded "well, if you are selected for Philly week now you're airfare is paid for." (might not be an exact quote but something like that). She told me I can double check with the WOF person that calls with the specific details, she just works for the local Philly ABC network, but she thinks it's fine. |

I will enter for the rest of the week then.  If when I get the follow up information I find out it messes with my chance to be on the show, I'll refuse this prize package. I'd rather be on the show after everything I've done to get that letter. There will always be other contests for free trips, I'll never get another chance to be on WOF. |

So yesterday's Wheel was preempted here and aired at 1:30 this morning. I wonder if they will address the problem since it seems the sweepstakes entries had to be in by midnight.  Seems like they've been pulling winners each day. oh well... |

iroc24 that is awesome! I didn't see this thread again until tonight so I didn't enter my sweepstakes here in Colorado. Oh well! Glad you were successful! That's cool they let you know right away too! Congratulations! I had colleagues & friends enter but (as far as I know) no luck! It's interesting that they say the Philadelphia week contestants are already selected... I wonder if they already have all of their contestants chosen for those weeks (Philly, Denver, & Seattle). I know they ran a feature on Lee the firefighter who they said would DEFINITELY be on Denver week back in September... so I wonder if they already have everyone else lined up and are just waiting til we get closer to tape date to let more Denver folk (& Philly & Seattle people) know. |

Honestly, I'm not sure if the woman was right. When I mentioned the letter and stuff, she said she was from the local network. She might have just assumed. At least... We have enough people on this board, I think we'd know if someone got a tapping date. |

I agree, Iroc, I think we would've heard if they already had all of their contestants for those weeks. I think they just did the spots on Lee the firefighter and the Professor from Philly so they could publicize it. Sounds like the lady from 6ABC just assumed.

Hi everyone, I am new to these boards and just discovered this thread. I was part of the Saturday Wheelmobile tryout in AC, then part of the follow up afternoon tryouts in Philadelphia. I got my acceptance letter in November but haven't heard anything since. I'm excited to find out whether I'll be part of the Philadelphia week taping at the end of March though! I met a lot of great people at both tryouts, so hopefully we'll get to meet again in California.

Hi dfarino1! Welcome to the boards! There are a few of us here (as I'm sure you've gathered) who auditioned in Philly. We're mostly in the same boat, waiting for a tape date. I have had in my head all along that I'll be going for Philly Week, so it will be interesting if that's not the case. The waiting is hard, but since I've had that date in my head, I haven't really expected to hear sooner, ya know? Regardless, it's all sooo exciting! |

The waiting is hard, but since I've had that date in my head, I haven't really expected to hear sooner, ya know? Same here. I already told my principal I might be taking those days off but I don't know for sure yet. Fingers crossed. |

Hi everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself and offer a quick thank you. I attended the Final Round Auditions last week in Philly, and felt well-prepared for the audition thanks to all of the great posts here about the experience and what to expect. They told us at the audition that they are filming the "Philadelphia week" in LA on or around March 31, 2016. I know Pat and Vanna were in town last week filming short promos around different tourist areas. Today marks the end of the first week of the dreaded 2-3 week window waiting for the letter to come ^_^;...but I know I would not have had a chance if not for these boards and all of your posts. If anyone else attended the Philly auditions, please let me know as I would love to keep in touch! That sounds exciting. I live from PA so I'd like to go on the show if they were to tape in Philly. I'll have to watch for updates on that. |
