Hi everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself and offer a quick thank you. I attended the Final Round Auditions last week in Philly, and felt well-prepared for the audition thanks to all of the great posts here about the experience and what to expect. They told us at the audition that they are filming the "Philadelphia week" in LA on or around March 31, 2016. I know Pat and Vanna were in town last week filming short promos around different tourist areas.
Today marks the end of the first week of the dreaded 2-3 week window waiting for the letter to come ^_^;...but I know I would not have had a chance if not for these boards and all of your posts. If anyone else attended the Philly auditions, please let me know as I would love to keep in touch!

Welcome!! The hardest part is the wait for the "letter" It can take longer than the 2 weeks they say, I got mine 24 days after my audition. Thinking positive thoughts for you!

Welcome aboard, speederice! Congrats on making it this far in the process--give yourself a pat on the back! Speaking from experience, my letter came right at the end of (or a day after) the 2-3 week window waiting for the letter. I wouldn't worry just yet. Glad you were able to take advantage of the wealth of information here; we do hope you stick around!

Best of luck to you! The way things have been going around here, you're bound to get the letter! But even if you don't, think of it as preparation for next time! Many of us (including myself) attended more than one final audition before being chosen. Best of luck again and keep us updated!

If you'd like to, go ahead. How did you get the audition? Did you upload a video or did you go to the Atlantic City Wheelmobile event?

I too attended the final auditions in Philly. When they went out to grade the tests and we were all standing around, a few people said they thought I was great and they'd be cheering for me on the show. I did get through to the second half of auditions, but I'm nervous. This has been on my bucket list since I was a small child.
If I don't get on, I know at least one person from my group that I think WOF would be crazy for not picking. This really sweet Temple student that just seemed so personable. He was winning over everyone he spoke to and seemed genuine in everything.

Good luck to both of you, iroc24 & speederice! As tuffy can attest to, the 2-3 week period is not always precise... I received my letter on Day 25, so sending some positive vibes your way! Sounds like your experience was similar to mine in terms of the city auditions. They did tell us that they'd be taping Denver week at some point in March of next year... Does anyone know if Seattle week will be taped around the same time? Just curious!

Please let me know if I can assist by posting a recap of my experiences while I wait not-so-patiently! ^_^; Allow me to point you to our Spinning Stories section! There are plenty of former contestants, myself included, who have shared their WOF saga with us there; we'd love to have you add yours there! And welcome to you too, iroc24! Keeping my fingers crossed for you as well; I know it's hard to remain patient about these sorts of things, but when (not if) it comes, it will have been well worth the wait.

If you'd like to, go ahead. How did you get the audition? Did you upload a video or did you go to the Atlantic City Wheelmobile event? MarioGS I attended the AC Wheelmobile, but I was never called on stage! They said "we are taking everyone's application forms back to LA and we may call additional contestants to audition from these forms." I thought 'yeah sure' and figured my WOF chances were over. But, amazingly, I got the email! This is my first time auditioning, so that is what led me to these boards because I googled the email before responding to make sure it was not fake or spam!

I believe they were there all week. Philly is one of America's Cities this year so besides the normal episodes, they have a week of "just" Philly people.
At the final point of our session, they asked those of us remaining when we did our mock introductions to state how long we've lived in Philly or if we were just from the surrounding area.

Thanks eybyon for turning me onto this post. More of this will probably be posted on the Spinning Stories thread at a future date because there are just so many weird things about my audition story (thanks WooWho). So I too was at the Wheelmobile event in Atlantic City 9/19-20. I was called up on stage on the second day during the first session. For those who were there, I was the one who during my interview said that I was in 2nd place for Wheel's Twitter Tossup and did a promo for it. Solved my puzzle and got the call for the final audition in Philly. Got a 14/16 on the written test and was not asked to come back for part 2 of the session but that's okay because... I'M GOING TO LA!!!!! My taping is on Thursday 11/19. Still seems weird just how quickly this is happening for me. The weird thing was that I didn't get a letter in the mail at first. The first method of contact after the final auditions was an e-mail on day 7 because they had a last minute opening or something. Something that may have helped me out, not sure really, is that I'm not actually from the Philly viewing area but rather the NYC viewing area, so I wasn't looked at being used for the Philly week episodes but just for a regular non-themed episode.

Mr. President! Ha, didn't know you did a promo for Toss-up during your interview! What did you say exactly? And for the record, I'm in second now, but I suspect your change in jobs had a lot to do with that. Regardless, as I've expressed so many times already, CONGRATS!!! So excited for you!
