Why would I have that info? I remember from 5 years ago on my thread about Jeopardy's 30th Season, that you had leaked information about the new set (the CES set was still in use at the time I made that thread) that eventually got rolled out |

I remember from 5 years ago on my thread about Jeopardy's 30th Season, that you had leaked information about the new set (the CES set was still in use at the time I made that thread) that eventually got rolled out That was because a guy who works for both J! and Wheel posted about J! getting a new set on his public (visible to anyone, friend/follower or not) social media page. FWIW, this was one of the same guys who leaked Autumn Erhard's million dollar win the day it taped. I haven't seen any details from him about either show recently, but of course I will let you all know if that changes. But never expect me to leak any details relating to Jeopardy!. Stuff like the new set info was just a case of serendipity. |

When do tapings begin? I would really like to these see changes:
1. New Set; that is similar to the 1996-2002 set, I miss that
2. New theme; I’m tired of hearing the current theme for 10 years.
3. New Graphics; I know that’s happening, but I want Jeopardy to challenge themselves; something that’s better than Season 34, those were awesome!
4. The popping in of the dollar figures; I seriously miss that, I hope that comes back
5. Another Ultimate Tournament of Champions!
6. Celebrity Jeopardy returning
7. College Championship returning to a college campus
8. New think music
9. The category appearing on screen for the home viewers again, instead of the category on a big screen TV next to Alex’s podium.
10. Alex going over to the board to reveal the Final Jeopardy category instead of staying at his podium
I really want to see all these changes, in addition to Alex’s beard.

Alex going over to the board to reveal the Final Jeopardy category instead of staying at his podium I really want to see all these changes, in addition to Alex’s beard. 1) It would be interesting to see a sushi bar set designed specifically for HD. 2) Yes, I think a new music package is on its way because of how long the current one has been used, and Wheel refreshed its music package January of last year after using the 2006/2007 music for a decade. At least we're not hearing the short-lived "leaky faucet" think music. Perhaps the current theme music will be retired at the end of the calendar year and the new music debuts at the beginning of 2019. 3) Season 25 was the only time the dollar figures didn't pop in but were already present following the introductions. The dollar amounts pop in but five monitors at a time; and I don't see them bringing back the old loading pattern and the beeping sound effect, both of which were retired at the end of Season 24. And the current board fill sound, I like better than the previous one that sounded like the startup sound for Windows Vista and Windows 7. 4) They held the UToC in Season 21 because Ken Jennings won 74 straight games in 2004, and no one has come close to winning that many consecutive games. I probably don't see it coming. 5) I'd like the new think music to be jazzy sounding (1997-2008), not classical sounding (current). |

You’re right. In addition I would like to see a different animation for when the categories are revealed. I mean, the logo fades into the category since October 2000, it’s kind of boring. I really like when the logo flipped up to show the categories.

They could change the category reveal animation, like have the logo split in the middle and slide to both the left and right of the monitors (e.g. a sliding door effect) to reveal the categories.

Then again, Jeopardy! refreshing the theme and think music while continuing to use the same set is nothing new. The current music package debuted in Season 25, and the metallic set was still in use. It was the last season with that set, as we got a sneak peek at the CES set during the '09 ToC before it got permanently put into use at the start of Season 26.

Don't get me wrong; the current set has some elements from the first three Naomi Slodki designed sets. That pillar behind the game board reminds me of the metallic set before it was tweaked for HD. Those white LEDs remind me of the sushi bar set, especially the ones on the gameboard. The curtain backdrop is retained from the CES set, as are the HD monitors. And the contestant podiums closely resemble the ones on the metallic set following the transition to HD.
