Bring back the Big Money wedge. Introduce a unique wedge, just like the Mystery wedges that premired in Season 20.

We have enough "extras" as it is. If they're going to introduce a new wedge, they better get rid of something first.

Make those $65K, $75K & $85K envelopes permanent & up the non-$1M top prize to $250K (10 times the original top cash prize of $25K).

Bring back the free spin tokens. The only way any contestant can earn the free spin token(s) is by landing on the existing free play wedge. There won't be another way to earn the free spin token except the free play wedge. Contestants can have more than one free spin token at a time depending on how many times they land on the free play wedge and how often they use their free spin token(s).

Only thing I can suggest is making the Million Dollar Wedge be like the Wild Card--if you earn it, you hold onto it until you get Bankrupt or you don't make it to the Bonus Round.

Here's some of mine: - Make the $65K/$75K/$85K permanent.
- Keep the $100K in play for Million Dollar Bonus Rounds by replacing one of the $30K envelopes with the Million.
- Retire the Prize Puzzle, or make it offer something other than trips more often (and I mean much more often).
- Offer something other than $10K cash on the Mystery Wedge (can be anything in the $10,000-$15,000 range).
- Retire the 1/2 Car (Kia) tags.
- Retire the $1,000 Toss-up (which determines who gets interviewed first), and make the remaining Toss-Ups worth $1,500 (to start Round 1) and $3,000 (to start Round 4), respectively.
- Move the $5,000 back to Round 3.
- Change the neon on the set to shades of yellow and orange.

Increase vowels to $1,000. This makes absolutely no sense. At all. Personal attack removed. The idea might be silly, but attacking the person behind the idea is uncalled for. Remember, attack the idea, not the person.

In fact, make either the $7,500 or $10,000 cash wedge sit on top of the $450 wedge between the $700 and $350. This request recommendation will start at round 4. Vowels are now free for the entire game from this point on. I also want the million dollar wedge to be retired. The only way a contestant can earn the million dollars is by making it to the bonus round, land on the million dollar envelope, solve the puzzle, and win the whole thing. Consecutive posts merged.

Ethan, please refrain from posting consecutively. If you want to add something, just modify your previous post. Maybe we should rename it back to Free SPIN first... Vowels are now free for the entire game from this point on. If that change happened, I can see every episode happening like this... Pat: Welcome back, our category is Phrase, and this round will be started by Wanda. Wanda: An E, please. Pat: Three E's. Wanda: A. Pat: Two A's... Wanda: O. Pat: Yes... Wanda: I. Pat: That's there, too. I think I can assume what you'll pick next? -__-
*2 years later*
Pat: One of our biggest changes for our 32nd season is that we will now reveal all vowels in the puzzle at the start of the round, because you guys just HAD to take full advantage of them right away when we stopped charging you for calling them...I also want the million dollar wedge to be retired. The only way a contestant can earn the million dollars is by making it to the bonus round, land on the million dollar envelope, solve the puzzle, and win the whole thing. They can't just have the million available outright. We'd be getting million-dollar winners every year. The show already shows several signs of money problems. If they did this, they'd be off the air within a season or two...or they'd have to make the Bonus Wheel at least 100 wedges. Anyway, here are my suggestions for changes: - Make vowels at least $500 - Retire the $1,000 Toss Up - Retire the constant themes, or at least the themed puzzles - Retire the gift tag - Make the 1/2 Car be any car <$20K instead of always a Kia Soul - Either make the Wild Card invulnerable to Bankrupt or award $900 per letter with it (or whatever it would cover) - Remove the second Bankrupt in R1 - Change the round house minimum to $500. If a player ends the game with less than $1,000, their score is raised to that amount. - Less $300 and $500 wedges, replacing them with $650, $700, $750, $850 and $950 - If the current layout is kept, switch the green $600 and yellow $500 (to avoid the "triple 500" in the Jackpot round and to have two green wedges farther apart) - Change the pink $900 to orange (since there's already another pink wedge pretty close by) - Add $1,000 and $1,500 wedges by R3 - Introduce a $4,000 wedge as top dollar for R3 - Have the video wall display the logo instead of various scenic views - Move the Jackpot and Mystery Rounds back to Rounds 2 and 3 - Retire the Prize Puzzle altogether - Keep the Prize wedge on for Rounds 3+ - Add a prize of higher value for R4 if time permits - If R4 will begin as a full Speed-Up, replace all non-cash wedges with cash wedges during the commercial break - Make R1 a trivia round where the category is always "Clue", "Where Are We?", etc. - Have different lighting and music cues for Million-Dollar Bonus Rounds - Stop editing out "null" cycles and invalid Final Spins - Have some form of returning contestants to keep viewers more interested like J!

Make vowels $500 each.
If they keep the 1/2 car tags, it would be nice if they made it different prizes and not always a car. Maybe sometimes have 1/2 TRIP or 1/2 $20,000.
I'm not going to my dark place with how I feel about the Prize Puzzles...I'll just skip that.
Other than that, I love the show as is.

They better really not add 65/75/85 to the BR. That would the WORST adjustment for inflation they could possibly do.
It's freakin' Season 30 - it's time to up some values on the Wheel (not top amounts mind you... how about a $400 minimum Wheel with maybe the red 800 becoming $1000-1500, then move that 800 to one of the overused 300s) and maybe make vowels worth $500. And maybe put Free Spin back...

^I'm being realistic - the big bucks are going to be next to the penalty spaces, hence my red 800 location.

My suggestions for season 30: Make $500 the smallest amount on the Wheel, get rid of those stupid car tags, throw the gift tag in the garbage, get rid of the $1,000 Toss-Up & make the 2 Toss-Up puzzles value at $2,500 & $5,000, bring the $700 wedge back, banish the Prize Puzzle, make Round 3 the BIG MONEY Round with $5,000 being the top value, add some variety to the prize wedges like a TV or furniture & for special occasions, maybe a car, or something other than a gift card from a sponser or trips, bring some of the 4 digit values back & replace the penalty wedges for the final spin, only add the $75,000 prize envelope, bring the Double Play back, for the mystery wedges, why not give away some cars for occasions, as well as 5 figure cash values like $10,000, have some tournament games like JEOPARDY! does for college students, teachers, & teenagers, as well as having returning champions for 5 games max, invite celebrities to play for special occasions, & if the smallest amount on the wheel does become $500, then charge $500 for vowels. The show is ok as it is, but I still think getting rid of the $700 wedge was a big mistake, including those CAR tags.

^You really need to use bullet points... Make $500 the smallest amount on the Wheel, I'm with Wayoshi -- $400 is fine, just so long as it doesn't become the new $300. get rid of those stupid car tags I happen to like those, thank you. throw the gift tag in the garbage Yes, get rid of the one thing which actually has a variety of sponsors. get rid of the $1,000 Toss-Up & make the 2 Toss-Up puzzles value at $2,500 & $5,000 Agreed on the first part, but leave the pre-R4 at $3,000 and increase the first one to $1,500. bring the $700 wedge back There's a lot more three-digit cash values that need to come back, ranging from $650-$950. Nah, it just needs better writers who aren't handcuffed to themed weeks and all-trips. make Round 3 the BIG MONEY Round with $5,000 being the top value The four-round system has been in place since October 1987. You'd have to up the ante for Rounds 4+. add some variety to the prize wedges like a TV or furniture & for special occasions, maybe a car, or something other than a gift card from a sponser or trips Agreed; the "Prize" wedge and "Prize" Puzzle aren't actual prizes (oh, it's cash or a trip). only add the $75,000 prize envelope Which makes $100,000 look weak. Great. bring the Double Play back Uh, no. The thing was unruly enough in Season 13. for the mystery wedges, why not give away some cars for occasions, as well as 5 figure cash values like $10,000 Or, you know, other prizes. if the smallest amount on the wheel does become $500, then charge $500 for vowels. Which presents the exact same situation that was the case when $250 became the minimum (or in daytime from 1990-91) -- impulse buying through any consonant at all. That wasn't the intention of $250 for vowels, which was to provide a hint at a sizable cost (and in an era where $1,000 was the Big Freaking Deal, it was).

Yes, get rid of the one thing which actually has a variety of sponsors. Except they're often unpopular sponsors that are just desperate for publicity. At least in the early days of the gift tag, we regularly got companies that everyone knew: Amazon, Best Buy, Motorola, Ebay... Uh, no. The [Double Play] was unruly enough in Season 13. How so? We don't even know that much about it. Heck, we don't even know for sure whether it was vulnerable to Bankrupt. I myself prefer DP to the Wild Card, but I wouldn't want to see DP out there with the current Wheel layout because of the total lack of variety in Wheel values (and the larger gap between the top two amounts). They'd have to add four-digit values first. At least people actually USED the Double Play without Pat having to remind them of it at the most opportune moments.

Except they're often unpopular sponsors that are just desperate for publicity. But not desperate enough to sponsor the Prize wedge, Mystery Round, or Trip Puzzle. Uh, no. The [Double Play] was unruly enough in Season 13. How so? We don't even know that much about it. Admittedly, that was what I got from reading about how it worked. Double Play was a good concept, but the Wild Card seems to have pulled it off far better. I wouldn't want to see DP out there with the current Wheel layout because of the total lack of variety in Wheel values (and the larger gap between the top two amounts). Yeah, that's something the show needs to fix. If the second-best value in all rounds is $900, you're doing it wrong. Much like the vowels, the intention from about 1979 onward was to have a big amount that wasn't top dollar. That's the problem with using one template -- being unable to increase values for subsequent rounds.

I myself wouldn't mind seeing the return of the Red Letter Puzzle. I thought they were fun, even if I couldn't get them.
And as long as I have breath in my body, I will continue to ask for the return of Fill in the Blank and Clue. Two splendid categories that, in my mind, were unjustly removed from the show.

I've already posted once in this thread (on the same page) but a few more changes came to my mind. My changes are realistic. I love seeing all these hopes and dreams of people but let's face it...these suggestions ain't happenin'.
*Bring green $700 back to where it once belonged....now I'm singing Beatles, lol.
*Change the blue $300 next to lose a turn to $400.
*Switch the green $600 and yellow $500 so that the green spaces aren't too close together and there aren't literally 3 $500 spaces in a row in the jackpot round.
