Here's my idea for some vintage shows during the 30th Anniversary:
1. The 1983 Debut of course
2. The ALL-CASH FORMAT Debut
3. The First Show in Radio City Music Hall
4. An episode from the first week in Walt Disney World in 1990
5. The First WHEEL AROUND THE WORLD show in 1991
6. The Pie-in-the Face Episode
7. The first Chicago debut in 1991
8. The first San Francisco/Philadelphia shows in 1992
9. The 1992 My Favorite Teacher Week Finale in Philadelphia [For Back-to-School ;D]
10. The 1993 Christmas Eve Special [For Christmas Eve]
11. The 1992 Christmas Day Special [For Christmas Day]
12. The "Vanna Sings!" Episode in 1992
13. The Old Puzzleboard Finale/New Puzzleboard Debut in 1997
14. An episode of College Week from Boston in 1993 [For Back-to-School lol]
15. A 1993 episode of the "Superstars of Sports Week"
16. The 1997 April Fool's Day episode [For April Fool's Day]
18. The First $100,000 Winner on Wheel of Fortune
19. The first show in Dallas, Texas in 1994
20. A 1994 episode from Miami
21. The first show in Seattle 1995
22. The "Thrill of Victory and Agony of Defeat" Episode in 1985
23. The first show in Norfolk, VA. 1995
24. The 1996 episode in San Francisco in which Vanna hosts the Bonus Round and Pat Turns letters.
25. The November 1989 episode in which Vanna plays for charity
26. The "Soap Opera College Challenge" in 1992 [Fiona, Lauralee, Chicko]
27. Raymond Taylor's first appearance in 1994
28. Steve Grace's $24,000 win in 1999
29. The Free Spin lady from 1984 30. Shane O'Donnell's first appearance in May 1992.
Bonus: The "More than one final spin" episode from 1990

Here are my suggestions:
Even though I actually want an overhaul that is a higher-stakes version of the 1987 play for cash gameplay era, but reinventing the wheel (no pun intended) in one season is not something that should be done as quoted by the great Roger Dobkowitz.
* No more Toss-Ups
* No more theme weeks
* Top Dollar Values are $2500-$5000-$7500-$10000
* Vowels are $500
* Wheel templates are changes after round 2 and 3 with the 1986 colors returning
* Lowest value is still $300, but appears a total of 5 times on all four wheels. Not including the sole $300 in round 2 being covered by a prize in round 2, and one of the $300s being covered by a prize in round 4.
* Prize Puzzle, Mystery Round, Gift Tags, 1/2 Kia Tags are all retired.
* Jackpot returns to Round 3 but if a different format: The Jackpot starts at $5000 and increases by $1000 every day until won, and it is claimed and won like a prize.
* The Free Spin Token returns to Rounds 1 and 2 with the token placed over a random amount, with that amount being awarded per letter as well as the Free Spin.
* The Wild Card will be on the wheel for Rounds 1-3 and will be placed over a $400 with that amount being awarded per letter as well as the Wild Card.
* A new prize will be placed on the wheel for rounds 2 and 4 with the prize only being available for that round (unless there are more that 4 rounds).
* The practice of only having a specific category only once per game will be abandoned.
* "Some" bonus categories will return with a bonus of $2500 and it will be available to all contestants (as was the case before 1995).
* Regular categories will also occasionally have bonuses attatched to them, but not regularly.
* The contestants will have a three-day returning champion limit.
* The bonus round will now offer four bonus prizes as well as cash. The layout of the bonus wheel is as followed:
(These prizes are just examples)
(2) $25,000 (2) $30,000 (2) $35,000 (2) $40,000 (2) $45,000 (2) $50,000 (1) $65,000 (1) $75,000 (1) $85,000 (1) $100,000 (2) Cadillac CTS (2) Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (2) Diamond Earrings (2) Winnebago Trailer
If a contestant wins a prize, it is replaced with two $25,000 envelopes if that contestant returns. If another prize is won, it is replaced with $30,000, and if another, it is replaced with $35,000. This only applies if the contestant returns to the bonus round the next day.
The One Million Dollars will still replace the $100,000 if a contestant makes it to the bonus round with it.
I hope I haven't left anything out, but that's what I would suggest.

Now the Million Dollar Prize is something I'm worried about. Nobody's claimed it since it was won once in 2008. So, I can clearly see it being retired after this current season.

They're not going to retire the million-dollar prize just because nobody's won it in three years. It's SUPPOSED to be extremely difficult to win. It's pretty incredible that several people have been one space away from the million-dollar envelope in the Bonus Wheel. By this logic, "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" would have been changed to "Who Wants to be a $250,000-aire" by now.

No, but the million could be retired for budget reasons.

Replace the green $300 near $900 with the green $450. Put the featured prize on top of that amount. Replace the existing pink $450 near $700 to $900.

If they change the set, go back to the golden set as opposed to the neon set.

Or what if they mixed up both the golden and neon sets together? I wonder how that would look like in HD...

Well, you're talking about on wwtbam no contestant is able to go past the $1/2 million question.

Hello Everyone: I don't have a suggestion. Personally, I like the show as it is. However, I was wondering if anyone knows the tape dates for the Season 30 taping of wheel of fortune. If anyone has this info, please forward it to me ASAP. I really would appreciate it. Thanks.

Here's another thought. I know it's a little late in the season, but I would like for WHEEL OF FORTUNE to do a sweepstakes for the New York Tapings during the 30th Anniversary.

If anyone has this info, please forward it to me ASAP. I really would appreciate it. Thanks. We don't know yet for sure, but judging by the patterns of the Season 29 tape dates, my guesses would be these are the first tape dates: July 12-13 July 26-27We'll be sure to let everyone know when the first tape dates are made official. As of now, no tickets are available on the show's website. Are you planning on going to a taping, musicalblessings? If so, let us know so we can tell you what exciting changes to look out for for us.

Here are my suggestions for the 30th season - *New categories: USA Tour, Before During & After, General Science, US Presidents, The Oscars *Have prize puzzles not always be trips (some days they could be games or computers, etc.) *Bring back the big money round from Season 25 except make it permanent *Bring back the free spin discs (free play wedge reads "free spin" and contestant gets a free spin disc when calling a right letter no matter if it's a consonant or a vowel) *Double play token returns *contestant landing on the Wild Card get's $900 per correct consonant *Top value in round 1 is $3000, rounds 2 and 3 $4000, rounds 4 onward $5000 *The LED borders around the wheel and puzzle board are green and gold rather than blue and purple. *On the "generic" set, the giant monitor behind the contestants displays the multi-colored backdrops *New theme music and new music beds for tossup puzzles, speed up round, and bonus round (the current music package has been used for over 5 years already)

For million dollar bonus rounds, replace the cheapest envelope instead of the hundred thousand dolars to the million.

They should make it permanent for Round 3 this coming season. I also feel the colors blue, purple, and green have been used far too much on the set and the new colors should be Red, Orange and Gold. Plus, the monitor behind the contestants should be replaced completely with new led backdrops to better match the rest of the set. Now as for the music in general? It's obviously time for change. I'd say bring back Changing Keys--at least the 1989-1992 and 1992-94 arrangements or make a new arrangement altogether (not like the Big Band Version PLEASE). And the 1989-1994 Puzzle Solve Cue should made permanent. That was the best cue. They just need to come up with some new beds for the Toss-Up, Speed-Up, and Bonus Rounds. All the other suggestions are fantastic!

I have a good feeling that this upcoming season, we won't see too many changes to the show. I think the show will undergo a graphic overhaul, may'be the music will change (but I am highly doubtful of that happenning). I know that there will be a new element to the show that Harry will throw in like he does almost every season. I don't see them giving up the 1/2 car tags, you have to admit it brought some excitement to the show. Also I read in an article a long time ago that the show was making plans to broadcast in 3D, so that could possibly happen as well. Overall, I think they will be focusing on the show making it to its 30th anniversary.

I was under the impression the 1/2 Car Tags would be retired after this season.
